I was scared
Not the fear of dark
Not the fear of being lost

You used to take me there

Not even the brightest star
Could take away the shine radiating from you
But you weren't there
So I went to the beach
Where we had our first date
I knew how much you loved the sea
So I had set a small table and some candle lit for us
We danced the whole night
And got wasted in other's arms
We had one of the most beautiful times
Of our lives
But you weren't there
So I went up the mountain
Where I expressed my love for you
Got on my knees and said those words to you
You were overwhelmed
I knew you loved me beforehand
Still I was nervous as hell
Nonetheless you said yes
And we had our first kiss
But you weren't there
So I came back to my home
And I couldn't believe what I saw
You were laying there in my bed
Tears falling down through your cheeks
And as my eyes met your sight
You looked at me in fear
Fear that you might have lost me again
I went to you and hugged you tight
You burst in tears and heavily breathed and sighed
"Where did you go and leave me?"
The words that came out of your mouth
And I felt a rock plunging onto my heart
"I went looking for you out in the wild"
You looked at me with those beautiful but teary eyes
"I was waiting for you all along the night"
Earlier we had a fight and I had to ask
"But if you ran away from me why did you come back to my house?"
And you replied,
"Where will I possibly go when my abode is in those arms of yours? How can I hide from where I truly belong?"
