"This is so magical."

Soraya spun in a circle, taking in as much of her surroundings as possible. Her windswept hair flapped in the breeze like their school's flags just beneath where she and her friends stood.

"And cold," Moiya shivered and hugged herself. "I'll have to remember to wear a jacket next time."

"Who could've predicted our new hang out spot would be on the roof?" Ujuu's ears lowered to not get caught in the wind.

"This is perfect," Rhys' crimson eyes scanned over the wooden panels they had removed to access the top of their school. "Now we can meet up at night undetected."

"You're welcome," Jacquelle nodded curtly, her hands on her hips. She turned her attention towards the younger twin. "Is Zaruna still on for going into town today?"

A wide, toothy grin appeared on Ujuu at the mention of his girlfriend. "Yes. She can hang with us until sixteen o'clock today since she's working at our Mom's restaurant in the evening."

Soraya's hand inched its way into her pocket. She had her Dragulji credit card safely stashed inside, along with her birth certificate and the note her Biology teacher had written granting her permission for missing one day of school.

Maybe I should use it for next Ignis, so I don't have to go to Mr. Trog's class after fighting with Mülock... Soraya looked over at Rhys and smiled at him. It'd be great if I could sneak him out of cooking at five in the morning too.

"Which shop is your mother's?" Jacquelle asked, her eyebrows raised. "I've played my cello at every restaurant in town, so I'm sure I've been there before."

"Yohai Steakhouse."

"But the owner is Azakuin..." Jacquelle's voice faltered as a light went on in her head. "Wait, Ayla is your mother?"

"Yup," Rhys joined in. "Mom has blue eyes, and dad has red eyes."

"I didn't know that you were both half Azakuin!" Jacquelle stared wide-eyed at the twins, as if seeing them for the first time.

"You can be a descendant of a nationality and not exhibit the key characteristics most Etherians associate it with," Rhys replied. "That's why it's best not to judge by outward appearances."

"I... I'm..." Jacquelle floundered for a few seconds before spitting out, "I-I'm sorry! For all those times I was mean to you two," her gaze flitted over to Moiya. "And I'm sorry for spreading that rumor about you as well."

"I forgive you," Rhys offered her his hand.

"Me too," Ujuu grinned at her. Moiya nodded in agreement.

Jacquelle placed her hand timidly into the Casmerahn boy's and shook it.

Soraya watched in adoration. I'm so glad they're all friends.
