"I've seen his file, George O'Malley barely made the cut to get in this program. He's not your guy," Bailey said to Burke as they walked the halls.

And his smile dropped, how could he forget that he barely made the cut to get into this program. And that probably ruined any of his chances with Meredith and the fact that she thinks he's gay. So uh oh for him.

"He's my guy, all right," he said to her as they stopped at the nurse's station.

"Every year, you pick your guy, and every year, your guy suffers more than any other intern," Bailey said, checking something in the charts.

"Terrorize one, and the rest fall in line," Burke said to her and walked off.

And suddenly they understand what the two were talking about. And suddenly, they don't wanna know what is going to come next, they were dreading it, really, but they need to know to understand the next part.

"I get it, I respect it, but George O'Malley's a puppy," Bailey's voice trailed off.

--A little time skip, but Meredith now knows that her one night stand is her boss--

And laughing, a lot of laughing. Meredith also laughed, shit like this had to happen to her, of all people. And the fact that he looks like he's going to chase after her, it makes her more nervous to see what's going to happen.

"Meredith, can I talk to you for a second?" he asked, running to catch up to her and pulled her into the stairwell. He ignored her attempt at excuses.

"Dr. Shepherd," she said, looking around to make sure there was no one else there.

"Dr. Shepherd? This morning it was Derek. Now it's Dr. Shepherd," he said to her, basically cornering her.

"At least she's trying to be professional, I can already tell you're going to be chasing her around like a damn fool," Miranda said to the man and actually laughed when he blushed in embarrassment under her glare.

Meredith rolled her eyes, of course he would do this, he seemed like the guy that would.

"Dr. Shepherd, we should pretend it never happened," she said to him, trying to keep her cool. After all, he was her boss and it wouldn't do her well to blow up on him.

"What never happened-- you sleeping with me last night, if you throwing me out this morning? Because both are fond memories I'd like to hold onto," he said to her, leaning against the railing with an amused smile on his face.

"No, this can't exist because you're my boss and I am more into girls, so forget about it. And I'm not playing hard to get, so forget about the mistake," she said to him, dishing out exactly how she felt, not wanting to deal with this.

Meredith smirked, proud of her future self. And Derek frowned at being hit when he was already down, it seems he still cannot comprehend why she rejected him, even though he hasn't gone through that yet.

And the others laughed, it was hilarious to them and even Addison chuckled, despite knowing that the woman slept with her husband.

"Goodbye, Dr. Shepherd," she said, curtly, and left the stairwell to go do whatever she was supposed to do before this happened.

Then it changed to show George wearing a gown, mask, gloves, and a scrub cap. "Open, identify, ligate, remove, irrigate, close," he muttered to himself, holding his hands up. And he repeated him, standing there as they prepped the patient.
