Karl...
This felt so surreal.Like fate and it's amazing.I can't believe that I found my high school best friend again.We could get the gang back together just like the good ol' days.Me Amber and Delilah were inseparable and powerful together.Since me and Amber work together we could make even more memories together."Do you remember Amber?"

"Huh oh her yeah I remember her why?"

"They work here with me,We found each other after a year or two"

"Is she here" She scanned the room looking for an infamous head of hair.

"They went out for They're lunch break but They'll be back in like half an hour"

"Oh and literally I don't mean this to sound bad but They're pronouns are They/Them just for future references" I hoped that didn't sound bitchy or anything.

"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't know your good at least now I know not to call them she or her in the future thanks Karl" She said with a half smile endearing she meant good.

"No problem" I flashed her a smile and gave her a drink i pre-made for her.

"Thanks" she grabbed something from her pocket and stashed it into my front shirt pocket.She walked away cheery and went to go look for another book.

I open the flap of my pocket and it's $10 with a note inside that read.

"He is half my soul,as the poets say" Also keep the change luv <3

I shook my head and put the note and money back in my pocket.I looked up behind me to gaze at the clock for the time.

8:30 pm.

My shift ended in an hour or so.I cleaned up my station and organized a bit.Delilah was in the couch area reading a book she grabbed off a cart that looked interesting.She eventually fell asleep with the book opened slowly falling off her chest.She looked really adorable.If I'm being honest I don't think my feelings from high school never left.I used to have a crush on her when we were teens but now a days I'm not sure how I feel anymore.I'll figure it out eventually right now We're friends again and that's okay with me.I think.

I finish my shift and she's still asleep.I put my things in my brown leather briefcase bag and walk up to Delilah.

"Hey, Delilah wake up" I shook her a bit and she jolted up.I giggled a bit and grabbed her hand and helped her up.

"What's happening?" She asked me fixing her hair.

"My shifts over but I wanted to take you for a drive somewhere" I explained.

"Ok...where" she asked me as she was gathering her things as well.

"Somewhere now c'mon let's go" I dragged her hand as soon as she grabbed her bag into her hands.When we got into the car it was a little dark which was perfect.It would be darker by the time we got there.

"can you plug my phone in imma play a song?"

"Yeah sure" She grabs the aux and plugs in my phone.
