falling for you... again

The Letter

                                    Brooke's pov:

    I wake up in my bed besides Lucas. I don't remember coming to my room last night, so I must have fallen asleep while we were watching a movie. Luke is still asleep, so I decide to go make him some breakfast for being such a great boyfriend, even though it's close to lunch time. He made my day way better yesterday and he deserves to know how appreciated he is too. I make french toast, Luke's favorite. I sit on the couch and wait for him to wake up.
      When he comes downstairs he immediately walks up to me and gives me a kiss. "Good morning pretty girl." He says, while smiling at me. "Good morning sleepy head. Come with me." I respond as I take his hand and bring him to the kitchen. "I made you breakfast!" I shout. "Thank you Brooke. I love you." He answers and gives me another kiss. We both sit down and start to eat.
       "So I never got to ask, did you like the letter I wrote for you?" Lucas says. Oh gosh, I forgot to read it. How could I do that? I'm such a horrible girlfriend. "Oh my god Luke. I forgot to read it. I'm so sorry." I answer truthfully. "It's okay pretty girl. I know yesterday wasn't an easy day for you. Here, read it now." He replies while handing the letter to me. I thank him for being so understanding as I start to read the letter.

The Letter:

      "Dear Brooke,
            Happy birthday my pretty girl. I want to start off by reminding you how strong you are. No matter what obstacle comes your way, you always get past it and never let it affect who you are, and that makes you one of the toughest people I know. On your absolute worst days, you still find a way to put everyone else first, but sometimes you need to put yourself first. You are just as important as everybody else. You deserve to take care of yourself. You are the most important person in my life and I want you to know I am always here for you. Thank you for always taking care of me and so many other people. You inspire me to be more like you everyday.

Now I just want you to know how much I love you. You are the greatest girl I know. I made a ton of mistakes, and you saw past it all, and I greatly admire you for that. I don't deserve someone like you, but I do thank God everyday that I found someone like you. You found the kindness in your heart to forgive me after I broke your heart. I am so sorry for everything I have done to make you feel like you aren't good enough. You are more than enough. You are perfect in my eyes Brooke Davis.

The first time I saw you in the beginning of freshman year changed my life. I didn't know it at the time, but I had just met the person who was gonna change me for the better. The person that I was gonna fall in love with. I didn't know what real happiness was until I met you. The first time we ever hung out, you were trying to impress me by being someone that you aren't, but I got to see who you really were as we got closer, and I am so thankful I got the opportunity to know the real version of you so quickly. You have grown so much in these past 3 years. You are not afraid to be yourself and you accept everyone for who they are. You are absolutely amazing Brooke Davis.

Anytime you ever doubt yourself, remember that you are an amazing friend, an amazing daughter, an amazing girlfriend, and just an amazing person in general. I am blessed to have met you. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Thank you for giving me a second chance. I am going to protect you with my whole body and love you with my whole heart. I will never let you go Brooke Davis. I love you so much pretty girl. I fall more in love with you everyday.

When I finish reading the letter, there are tears all over my face. I didn't realize how much I needed to hear those words, especially coming from Lucas. He means the world to me, and to know I make him happy makes me the happiest girl alive. "Luke... I- I love it. Thank you." I struggle to say while crying. He comes up and hugs me. "I'm sorry for making you cry pretty girl. I'm happy you liked it though." He says. "I love you so much Lucas Scott." I reply while returning the hug. "I love you more than you know Brooke Davis." He responds, as he lets go from the hug the kisses me. "You deserve everything good in this world. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me" He continues, while he wipes my tears off my face. "Luke you're gonna make me cry again." I say. He laughs and continues to wipe away my tears.
When I'm finally done crying like a baby, Lucas calls Haley and asks if we can meet her and Nathan at the cafe for lunch. She says yes, so we both get dressed. We still have a an hour to pass, so we sit on my couch. After about 5 minutes, Lucas starts to kiss me. I sit on his lap and return the kiss. He takes my shirt off and I take his off. The kiss begins to deepen, and we loose track of time.
When that is done, we start to put our clothes back on. I look at the clock and give a confused look. "Luke is this clock wrong?" I ask. "Oh god. We're late for lunch." He says as he starts to rush and get everything together. I laugh at him panicking. "Luke it's fine, it's just Nathan and Haley. I'll just say I fell asleep again, no big deal." I answer.
When we get to the cafe, Nathan and Haley are already there. "Where were you guys? We've been waiting here forever!" Nathan jokes. "Oh just having sex." I say. Lucas' eyes widen. "You said you were gonna say you fell asleep!" He shouts. I love how embarrassed he gets! "I was going to, but this is so much more fun!" I say jokingly, and give him a quick kiss as an apology. Nathan, Haley, and I laugh and we all start to eat lunch. I really missed hanging out with them. I'm glad we started doing it again. They are the only good people I've met in tree hill and they would never stab me in the back.
When we finish eating, we say our goodbyes and head back home. Luke drops me off at my house because he has basketball practice that he has to go to. I decide to call Haley. It's been a while since just me and her have hung out. I ask her if she wants to come over and she says okay. A few minutes later, I hear my doorbell ring. I open the door for Haley and give her a hug. "Jeez Brooke you just saw me." She jokes. "Oh shut up and come inside." I say, joking back with her. She comes inside and we walk up to my room. "So any plans tonight tutor wife?" I ask. "Well when Nathan is done practice he said he's taking me somewhere nice." She answers. "Oh my god Haley James Scott, you NEED to let me help you get ready, just like old times! Pleaseee." I beg with a pout. "Okay you can help, but I don't have any of my clothes here." She says. "You can borrow my clothes, I don't mind." I respond. "Thanks Brooke." She says and gives me a hug. "This is gonna be so fun!" I shout. Haley laughs and she starts to get ready.
        Once she is done getting ready, Lucas calls me and tells me practice is done. Haley says bye and thank you before leaving to go on her date. I decide to drive to Lucas' house. When I get there, I knock on the door. Lucas answers the door and smiles at me. "Hey, what are you doing here pretty girl?" He asks. "Just wanted to see your handsome face. Plus Nathan and Haley went on a date so it reminded me how much I want to hang out with my amazing boyfriend." I say and then give him a kiss. I walk in and see an ice bag and a heating pad on the couch. "Luke are you okay?" I ask, pointing at the couch. "Oh um yea, I'm just having some pain on my lower back. It's nothing though, I'm fine." He answers, trying to hide his pain. "Lucas Scott it is not fine. I don't want you to push yourself on the court. Play to the best of your ability, not anyone else's." I say seriously. "You're right, I'm sorry. I love you pretty." He replies and gives me a kiss on my forehead
"So wanna watch a movie or something?" I ask. "Sure, anything you want." He responds. I pick a movie and we both sit on the couch. I lay my head on his lap as he keeps the heating pad on his back. "Oh and by the way Scott, make sure you fix that back. I need it for other activities." I say winking at him. He laughs and I press play on the movie. God, I love this boy.
