falling for you... again

Happy Valentine's Day

                                 Brooke's pov:

    Today is Wednesday. That means another school day. School has been super awful recently, now that I'm 5 months pregnant. I constantly feel exhausted and my whole body feels in pain. It's even worse since today is Valentine's day. I just wanna spend the day with Lucas.
I wake up and immediately get ready for school. Once we get ready, we head to school. Luke and I head to our lockers and are immediately greeted by Peyton. "So you two seem to be getting close." Lucas says when she walks away. "Yea we are." I smile. "Have you been talking to Haley?" He asks. "Of course I have. Why do you ask?" I question. "It just seems like you've been talking to Peyton more than Haley these past few weeks." He explains. Now I feel awful. I hope Haley doesn't feel that way. "Well me and Peyton are close, but Haley was there for me when Peyton wasn't. When me and you broke up, Haley checked in on me every single day. I don't want her to feel like I don't appreciate her anymore." I frown. Lucas rubs my back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. How about you hang out with Haley tonight? I'll take Nathan to the river court and we can play some basketball." He suggests. "Sounds good. Thanks Luke." I kiss him quickly before we head to our first class together.
    During class I find myself dozing off a lot. Lucas keeps waking me up out of my daze. As I am about to fall asleep, Lucas nudges me. "Wanna go somewhere?" He asks. I give him a confused look. "Luke we are in the middle of class." I answer sluggishly. The bell rings as I say that. Everyone starts to get up and Luke grabs my hand. "Let's go." He says, leading me outside to his car.
      "What are we doing?" I ask. "Get in. We are skipping." He replies. "Lucas Scott!" I whisper shout. "What?" He laughs. "We can't just leave!" I answer. "We used to skip almost everyday sophomore year." He reminds me. "Yea, and I was failing almost all of my classes." I respond. "It's just one day Brooke. You were falling asleep most of the day anyway. Come on it's our last year in high school. Let's have fun. Plus it's Valentine's day." He convinces me. I get into the car and playfully roll my eyes. "You do have a way with words Lucas Scott." He smiles at me before driving away from school.
      "Where do you wanna go?" Luke asks me. "Seriously? You convince me to skip school and don't even have a plan?" I laugh. "Just tell me where." He answers, smiling at me. "Let's go to my house and watch a movie. It's empty since my mom is in New York." I suggest. "It's my turn to laugh at you. We skip school and you just wanna watch a movie at your house." He laughs. "Hey! I'm pregnant and tired. Any better ideas?" I answer cockily. "Alright fine. We can watch a movie at your house pretty girl." I smile at him and we head to my house.
    When we get there we immediately run to the couch. I pick out a movie and sit down, cuddled into Lucas. As we watch the movie I feel the baby start to kick. "Lucas!" I shout in his ear. "What? Are you okay?" He panics. "The baby is kicking!" I smile. "Are you serious?" I nod my head and put his hand on my stomach. He feels the baby kick and a huge smile forms on his face. "That's our baby!" I tear up. He wraps me into a hug and kisses my forehead. "Yes it is." He smiles.
       Hours later when I know the school day is over, I call Haley. I want to hang out with her since we haven't in a while. I want to talk to her and ask her a big question too.
    Haley gets to my house and we head to my room. The perk of having an empty house is that I can invite my friends over whenever I want. "Is everything okay? You said you wanted to talk to me on the phone." She asks. "Yes everything is okay. It's just, I have been getting close with Peyton these past few weeks, and I don't want that to affect our friendship. You were there for me when Peyton was a total bitch to me and when Luke and I broke up. You are an amazing friend Haley. I want you to know that you will always be my best friend, no matter how close I get with her." I rant. She begins to tear up. "Brooke, I don't mind that you are getting close to Peyton at all. I'm glad you two are friends now. I know how you feel about our friendship, and I feel the same way. You're my best friend too Brooke. I love you." She smiles. "I love you too Haley." I hug her.
   "Now I have a question to ask you." I say. "Okay, what's up?" She questions. "I wanna start off by thanking you for everything. You have always stuck by me and Luke's side no matter what, and we can't be more grateful. We know you will care and love our baby so much, so I wanted to ask, will you be our baby's godmother?" Haley's eyes start to form tears and a smile appears on her face. "Of course I will Brooke!" She hugs me and I start to tear up too. "Who's gonna be the godfather? I won't tell anyone. Please tell me!" She begs like a child. I laugh. "Actually, Lucas is asking Nathan right now." I answer. "Oh my god! He's gonna be so happy." She hugs me again. I smile at her excitement.

  
                                    Lucas' pov:

     "Oh my God, of course I will Luke!" Nathan answers when I ask him to be the baby's godfather. He pulls me into a hug. "You and Haley are gonna be great godparents." I say. "Wait, Haley is the godmother?" He questions. "Yup. Brooke is asking her right now." I respond.
      After me and Nathan play some basketball, we head to Brooke's house, where Haley and Brooke are. We walk in and Haley runs up to Nathan and jumps on him, wrapping him into a hug. "We are gonna be godparents!" Haley screams. Haley let's go from Nathan and gives me a hug. "Thank you guys for choosing us." She thanks me and Brooke. "Of course. You guys are the best friends we could ask for." Brooke answers, smiling. When Haley lets go of the hug, I walk up to Brooke and give her a kiss on her lips and on her stomach. She is 5 months pregnant, so her bump is starting to get bigger. She sometimes hates the way it looks, but I think she looks beautiful.
    When Nathan and Haley leave, Brooke and I go back to my house. Brooke goes up to my room and I get the roses, chocolates, and bracelet I have been hiding from her.
    I go to my room and she is laying on the bed. "Happy Valentine's Day." I say, leaning on the door with gifts in my hand. "Lucas Scott, you did not have to buy me anything!" She smiles as she walks up to me and takes the gifts. She gives me a hug and kiss before going back onto the bed and opening the chocolates. "But I'm thankful you did." She adds on as she puts a piece of chocolate in her mouth. I laugh and sit next to her. "I wanted to. You mean everything to me Brooke Davis. I love you." She smiles at me. "I love you more." She answers before shoving a piece of chocolate in my mouth. We both laugh and she sits on my lap. "I can't wait to have a family with you Brooke Davis."
