The Comeback

Brooke's pov:

AHHHH!! Lucas wants to work on us again!!! My stomach was filled with butterflies and my heart felt like it was going to burst. Wanna know why?? WE ARE HANGING OUT TODAY... ALONE!! This whole first week of school me, Lucas, Nathan, and Haley have been hanging out, but not just me and Lucas alone. But today is Saturday, and Lucas asked me if I could hang out with him today, and of course I said yes, duh. I need to look so hot today. Not that Lucas cares about what I wear or what I look like, because he would always tell me that I was beautiful no matter what, but because I want his jaw to DROP when he sees me. I called Haley to come over for a little before I went out with Lucas, so I can get all my nervous feelings out. A few moments later Haley is at my door. "I'm here!!" yells Haley from downstairs. I yell back so she can hear me, "Come to my room! I'm getting ready." "Wow B. Davis you look nice." Haley says as she walks in my room. "Thanks tutor girl" I reply. Gosh, I love calling her that, mostly cause it gets on her nerves. "So, how are you feeling?" she asks me. "Nervous. Very, very nervous. What if this is all another huge miscommunication? What if he doesn't think of this as a "date" like I do?" I rant nervously. "Calm down Brooke, please. Lucas would have never said he wanted to give you guys another try if he didn't mean it." Haley says, trying to calm me down. "Yeah, I guess your right." I say back.
After a whole hour of Haley helping me get ready, we hear a knock at the door. "Oh my God, Haley it's him." I scream nervously. "Brooke, it's gonna be okay! You guys always did this last year when you were dating, what's the difference now?" Haley says. "Haley! The difference is we're not dating now! And we haven't hung out alone since we were!" I say back to her in a cocky tone, as I run downstairs to get the door. When I open the door Lucas greets me and Haley with a hug. Then Haley says goodbye to both of us before she walks out the door and drives away. Lucas then looks me up and down and says "Wow Brooke, you look amazing." I blush as I respond "You don't look too bad yourself Scott." "Well we should go. We need to get our big day started." Lucas says as he leads me to his car. "Big day?" I question. He replies, "Yes pretty girl, I have a lot planned for us today." My heart flutters as I hear him call me "pretty girl." He would always call me that when we were together. It made me feel safe. As I sat in the car, I could not wait to see all Lucas has planned for us today.
