A queer thing has been taking place.
For some time now, Surama has heard the sound of someone drowning. But, whenever he goes to investigate, the sea is as calm as ever, there is no one struggling to live. And, when Surama asked the others about the sound; they all told them that they had heard nothing. It was very queer indeed.
" May I sit? "
Surama was at one of the cafés in Atlantis, the person who had asked was a woman. God, how pretty she was, Surama thought to himself.
" Be my guest "
The woman sat down and Surama ordered drinks for them both.
" Just water for me, please "
Surama got a cup of tea.
The sound of busy and peaceful Atlantis could now be heard.
" May I know your name? "
" May I know yours first? "
" Surama "
" Mystery "
Surama smiled.
" Something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain. As the quote goes "
The woman now smiled.
" Mystery is not your real name, " said Surama.
" What makes you say that? " said the woman, as she was holding back.
They were just looking at one another.
The woman then got up and left.
Surama was not sure that he would ever see her again.
It was now the next day and Surama was at the same café. To his delight and joy, the very same woman came.
She sat down, and they resumed their conversation.
" What is your favorite color? "
" Blue " said the woman.
" What is your favorite flower? "
" Any blue flower "
" What is your favorite animal? "
" A horse "
" What is your favorite victim? "
" Children "
The woman paused, as she realized Surama's trap.
" A Kelpie " said Surama, calmly; " the mystery has been solved "
The woman was speechless, she wanted some more fun before revealing herself.
" What will you do now? " she asked.
" I could have you killed "
" Will you? "
Surama was quiet.
" Leave, and never ever hurt anyone again "
The woman stood up.
" Will I see you again? "
Surama was yet again quiet.
The woman had a sighing-smile, she then walked back to the sea, and Surama never heard the sound of anyone drowning again.
