It’s odd that I left the house like it was a normal day. I left the house while Olivia was asleep, she’s usually up the same time that I do to do something in the library. I can’t help but feel that something bad is going to happen. The day just started weirdly.
I shake the thought away and concentrate on my rounds at the hospital. I’ve been away for quiet some time and I miss the atmosphere in the hospital. The smell of disinfection and the crowdy kids in the pediatric ward. I need this break from the stress that is going on right now.
I may not show it around Olivia, but her stress is taking a toll in our relationship. I want her to have what is rightfully hers but at the same time I want her to leave it and just be my wife. I’m asking for too much. I’m starting to doubt my support to her.
I stop and clear those thoughts away. She needs me now more than ever and I won’t let any doubt cloud my support to her. Stop thinking too much, Timothy. She’s still the Olivia that you love. She’s is still going to be your wife. Nothing is going to change that.“Hey, Cass,” I greet my secretary when I enter my office.
“Hey, Tim.”
I smile when I remembered that Olivia got jealous with Cassandra. “How’s Robert?”
“Oh, you know, same old arthritis,” she waves it off and hands him a clipboard. “I keep telling him to lay-off with the beans.”
“He should though,” I chuckled while scanning the chart for my patient.
“How’s your fiancée?”
I sign the bottom of the chart when I’m satisfied with the results of the patient. “Busy with the wedding preparations.”
“Do I know,” she gushed. “I remembered when I and Robert got married—”
Whatever Cassandra was supposed to say was cutoff when the door to my office suddenly burst open and spit out an angry Adrian.
“YOU!” He said, pointing a finger at me. “How dare you?!”
“What did I do?” I asked, confused.
He scoffs and threw his phone on my table. I quickly grab his phone before it skids off the table. I felt my blood run cold when I saw the headline:OLIVIA CHASE IS ALIVE!
I know that Olivia is planning to tell everyone that she is still alive, but I never thought that it would be this soon. I continue reading the article and I feel my energy being suck out of me as I keep on reading. I’m thankful that I’m currently sitting down while reading the article. No wonder why Adrian is mad at me right now.
“I swear to you,” I say to him. “I have no idea that they would do this.”
He scoffs and grab his phone from my hand and tap something. I hear it ring, he places it on speaker phone. I was about to ask him who he was calling when I heard Olivia’s voice on the other side.
“Addy?”
“Olly,” He answers. “What the fuck is going on?”
The line was quiet for quite some time that I thought that Olivia had ended the call. “I have to,” she says in a quiet tone.
“What do you mean you have to?” Adrian sent me a troubled look.
“Does Timothy know?”
“Oh, he fucking does.”
I heard Olivia sigh and I gestured to Adrian to pass me the phone. Adrian hesitated but eventually hand me his phone.
