"Asami I'm off to save the world!"
"Have fun dear! Remember to pick up bread on the way back," I wasn't planning on picking up bread.

"Asami I'm back from saving the world! I have a guest!" I called when I got back that night.
"Did you remember the bread?" Asami called from upstairs
"Um."
"Korra I ask you to do one thing-" she abruptly stopped when she saw what I did have in my arms.
"His name, Asami Sato, is Hiroshi, his parents died fighting the mecha tank, he's only two." I stated. "the reason I didn't buy bread was because I was to busy buying things a baby needs." I looked up and a tear was running down her cheek. I kissed it away. "he's just the thing we need to put adventure back in our lives." I smiled, "I love you Asami."
"I love you to Korra. Almost as much as I love our new son."
"Shut up." I said playfully. she turned a stern.
"Korra that's a no no word, put a dollar in the swear jar."
"Sure thing Asami, can I borrow a dollar?" I grinned and we burst into a fit of helpless laughter, Hiroshi joining in. We hadn't laughed like that in weeks. Suddenly the entire image tore away giving birth to a reality. I was dreaming about the past, when I didn't have a bright future.
"Korra? I think she's coming to!"
"Korra?"
"Are you okay?" Voices surrounded me but I wasn't able to make sense of them.
"I need to go."
"Oh no Korra, your not going anywhere, your still sick." someone held me back. My eyes opened to a blinding white. I forced the hands off me and ran out the door, bread the through the nearest wall and water bending into the sea.
"No! Korra!" I kept going, straight to republic city. I had to find Asami.
I first went to Hiroshi's school, I owned my son an apology. i had them call his name over the announcements "Hiroshi would you please come to the main office the avatar is here to see you."
When he walked in I was full of apologies.
"You shouldn't have seen that."
"Mom it's fine."
"It's not, I'm really sorry."
"Are you and mom going to get a divorce?"
"Not if I can help it." he smiled at that. I guess he was worried I didn't love her anymore. "did she tell you where she would be?"
"The big important meeting." I blushed.
"Right. I love you, and I'm really sorry."
"Mom it's fine! Go get her!" I laughed, and ran out.
I flew all the way to her office.
"do you want me to page her?" Said her secretary.
"No, I'm going to surprise her."
"She's in a meeting!"
"Deal with it." I opened the double doors to the conference room and interrupted a very heated debate.
"Hey 'Sami." I said walking fast over to her. she turned, slowly, almost fearful. I closed the space between us.
It was like our first kiss, she had just officially met my parents and we were outside. I opened my eyes.
"Sorry boys, you can continue this later, I have to talk to my wife." they looked stricken.
"Listen evetar,we don' 'precciate dat. We was right in the mi'le of somin."
"That's cute, you thinks it's a good idea to start an argument with the most powerful being on earth." I chuckled. "cmon 'Sami." we walked out together.
