"Rickie? If you don't mind me asking, how come the lady at the counter called you guys by a different name?"
"Oh, that? It's because that's our Korean names. Those were the names we were born with. We just go by Rickie and Mickey because it's easier for people to remember and pronounce. See, my name is Song Kyung-mi, and Mickey's real name is Min Kang-dae."
"That's understandable, but I like your real names more. They're so pretty. What's the meaning behind your names?"
Rickie smiled at the small girl's curiosity. No one has ever cared much about their background and culture so it was always nice to see her become so interested in these things. "My name means honor and beauty. Mickey's name means mighty and strong."
Madeleine was amazed to learn more about both Mickey and Rickie. It could be clearly seen on her face. She also loved how their names fit them perfectly. Rickie is as beautiful as Mickey is strong, in more ways than one. That's probably why she liked them so much.

Rickie and Mickey were now looking for the last couple of ingredients for dinner which were sesame oil and Korean red chile flakes. Mickey joined them after he was finished talking with the older lady who Madeleine found out was named Mrs. Yoon. When they couldn't find what they were looking for they decided to split up and try to find it themselves. Each of them were looking in a different aisle but none of them could seem to find anything.
Right when Rickie found the chile flakes she felt a tap on her shoulder. Knowing that it wasn't Mickey or Madeleine, she turned around and eyed the guy standing in front of her. He was much shorter than her, probably around Madeleine's height. Possibly even shorter. The guy looked harmless, nervous even, but she still didn't let her guard down. Just in case.
Rickie raised her eyebrow, silently asking the guy what he wanted. "Oh! I- Um... I was just... I wanted to know... Well..." The guy stammered aimlessly.
"Relax. I'm not gonna attack you or anything. Just tell me what you want."
"I'm sorry. You're just very... Intimidating." Rickie crossed her arms over her chest having heard this statement plenty of times. When the guy noticed the look that Rickie was giving him he decided that it was better to just say what he had to say instead of wasting her time.
"I was wondering if I could have your number and maybe we could go out on a date sometime. If that is alright with you of course." Rickie was surprised she even caught what he said with how fast he spoke
"Sorry to break it to you but I'm a lesbian. I have a girlfriend too." She had nothing against the guy as she partially lied. It was the response that she gave every guy that has tried to ask her out. Of course, it was a little mean to lie to the guy but technically it wasn't that big of a lie.
