August is in the middle of washing the dishes from their dinner, as she thinks about all the crazy adventures that she and her family have had. Like how they started out by hi-jacking trucks before moving to hi-jacking gas trucks. How they thought they had lost her sister-in-law, Letty, and avenged her death before going to Rio where they stole a $100 million dollars. How she and Brian had settled down just to find out that Letty was still alive before taking down a tank and plane to get her back home. How she and Brian had their first child, Jack, who is named after her father. How their sins had followed them home with a house explosion. How they made cars fly twice before taking out a drone and helicopter which caused them to almost lose Dom in the process. How after saying goodbye to Dom, she and Brian settled down once again before having their second child, April.

August let's out a sad sigh, knowing what originally started her family down that crazy path. It was when they lost their father in his race. From there Dom ended up in prison and a secret that only a few knew about was created. The secret being that there is actually another Toretto sibling out there in the world somewhere if he is even still alive. A tear rolls down August's cheek as she remembers her brother, Jakob, since she and him had been close while Dom and Mia had been close. Arms snake around August's waist, causing her to sigh at the comfort coming from the arms.
"You okay?" Brian asks as he places a kiss on August's cheek.
"Yeah," August says with a nod before wiping her tear away. August let's out a sigh as she decides to tell Brian because she didn't need any secrets between them. "I actually need to talk to you about something." August sits down at the kitchen table before Brian pulls a chair in front of her, lightly grabbing her hands.
"What is it?" Brian asks her with a raised eyebrow before smirking sarcastically. "Are you pregnant?"
"No," August answers him with a laugh. "No, uhhh. What I have to tell you is a secret that my family has had for longer than I've known you. But, uhhh. Here it goes..." August is interrupted by her phone going off. Brian and August share a confused look because not many people call them.
"Dad!" Jack yells from his bedroom.
"Answer it," Brian says as he gives August a smile before going to check on Jack.

"Hello?" August asks confused once she answers the phone.
"Aug, it's Dom," Dom says once she answers the phone. "I need a favor."

The number 17 car pulls into the pit road before coming to its pit stop.
"Jack, you realize you got this in the bag, right?" Buddy Hubbard asks Jack Toretto as he unclips the net on Jack's window. Jack takes the water that his daughter, Augustina, offers him. "Season's wrapped up, man. Doesn't matter where you place."
"I'm telling you, I got intermittent miss," Jack says as he hands the water back to August, who goes to set it down while playfully shoving her brother. "The last two laps."
"On it!" Buddy says with a nod before turning to one of the pit crew members. "Get those plug wires!"
"Jakob! Now," Jack yells at his youngest son, who happens to be the crew member that Buddy was yelling at. Jakob nods before raising the hood of the car as Dominic, Jack's oldest son, rushes over.
"Hey, Pop," Dom says as he leans against the window beside August, who runs back over.
"Tell me what you two see," Jack orders as he looks at his son and daughter proudly.
"Got an oil spill going into turn two," August says as she glances at turn two. "Bell's driving safe."
"And Corbin's got a sponsor in the stands, so he's pushing it," Dom explains he begins to list everything that he has seen. "You got a real problem with car 23."
"Linder," Jack says with a nod as he has seen it too. Dom begins to argue with Linder's crew, who are two spaces back. "Hey! Leave it. He's just pissed because I got that spot in the Busch Series next season, not him. Life's got no shortage of guys like Kenny Linder."
"You're good!" Jakob tells him as he closes the hood before patting it, causing August to look at him confused because of how long he had been under the hood.
"It's not about being the stronger man, Dom," Jack advises his son, who is clipping the net back. "It's about being the bigger one." Jack takes off back onto the track as August stands between her brothers. Linder follows behind him before bumping into the back of another car.
"I swear to god, this guy," Dom says as he shakes his head while watching the race.
"Pop, turn two, turn two!" August says through her headset as she sees her father nearing turn two with Linder trailing after him.
"Got it. I'm walking him in," Jack says as he drives high on the track. Jack quickly drops lower on the track as he sees the oil spill that August had mentioned, causing Linder to drive into it which causes him to slightly lose control and bump into the wall. "Tell me what you see, Dom." Dom quickly moves to where he can see the rest of the track while August and Jakob share a high five.
"He's gonna come at you for that," Dom says as he keeps looking between his dad and Linder. "Get ready on your left." Linder drops to Jack's left while Jack looks down at his dash as it begins to make noise. Linder bumps into Jack, causing his car to turn before connecting with the wall as it catches fire. The car rolls as it is hit by another car while Dom rips his headset off before running towards the track with Buddy and August right behind him. Buddy grabs Dom, holding him back from being ran over while Jakob grabs onto August as Dom and August cry and yell for their dad.
"That's my dad! That's my dad!" Dom yells as Buddy continues to hold him back.
"He's gone! He's gone!" Buddy says as he looks at the burning car in shock.
"We got to get him out of there," August says as Dom fights against Buddy while Jakob stares at the burning car, wondering if it was his fault. "We got to get him out of there! That's our dad! That's our dad! That's our dad! That's our dad! Get him out of there! That's our dad!"

"We got to get him out of there! That's our dad! That's our dad! That's our dad! That's our dad! Get him out of there! That's our dad!"

August wipes her tears away from the memory as she pulls up in a blue Jeep, in front of Dom's house where he is leaning against his car.
"You know, I would love to see my nephew just a little bit more often," August says as she gets out of the Jeep with a smile. "Than, say, world-ending emergencies and holidays, once in a while, maybe."
"Okay," Dom says with a smile as they hug. "And how's the Buster?"
"He's good," August says with a nod. "Confused but he's really good."
"You know, now that I'm a father," Dom says as he leans back against his car. "I can't stop thinking about our dad. And, uh... What life would have been like if he was alive."
"We'd be very different people, don't you think?" August asks him with a small smile and a nod of understanding. "We wouldn't have Brian, Tej, and Roman in our lives that is for sure." Dom looks down with a frown, causing August to look at him confused. "Dom, what's happened?"
"Something I hope I'm wrong about," Dom answers her with a sigh before taking a moment to look back at her. "I'll let you know when I know more."
