George was dressing in his room preparing for the day's activities, today would be his coronation after a few weeks of paperwork that he did not understand. The previous king, Eret, had been dethroned for reasons of a war that he had never heard of, George did not like conflicts between territories or anything related to royalty, and he never thought that he would be involved in them. He had always known that if something happened to the king, he would have to take care of the situation, but he never believed it possible.

After fighting for a few seconds with the buttons on his shirt while he was dressing, someone knocked on the door.

"Your Highness, are you ready?"

Dream's voice pierced through the heavy dark wooden door to George's ears, after fighting with the buttons for a few more seconds, he responded with an agitated voice.

"Yes, one second..."

A few seconds passed and his voice sounded again.

"Your Majesty, may I pass?"

Already annoyed, he answered back; "Go ahead."

The tall figure of his friend came through the door, his mask with that smiley face covering his face and his dark gold hair peeking out from under his hood. George wondered how he managed to see where he was walking with the mask on, but whenever he asked, Dream responded by saying "I don't know, magic, maybe."

His armor boots rattled the floor as he playfully leaned in front of him and tried to kiss his hand as he tried to say "Your Majesty..." George immediately removed it and cut him off.

"How many times have I told you not to treat me like royalty when we're together? Besides, I'm not the king yet."

"But you will be."

Dream looked him up and down judging the details of his wardrobe. He still had his shirt buttoned badly, with the buttons in the wrong holes, and he also needed to place the beautiful blue cape with gold details on his shoulders. Just thinking about wearing so many formal clothes made him stomach turn.

"Let me help you with that."

Dream reached over and unbuttoned George's shirt and immediately began buttoning the buttons properly with nimble, scarred fingers. Dream had been a warrior in the royal guard assigned as his bodyguard as soon as the news came that he was to be made king. George had lived in the castle for some years, and Dream arrived later, hired by royalty. He had been a fearful assassin, wanted by many people, but when they finally caught him, the kind King Eret gave him a chance and invited him to be part of his knights, it was as if he had seen something special in Dream. Although George was scared of him at first, this is how those two met and slowly the people of the kingdom were forgetting the actions of the murderer that he became, but never ignoring the fact that he could kill anyone in just a second.

The knight placed the heavy cape on George's shoulders and placed his iconic glasses on his head, or as he called them "Gogy's goggles." Dream arranged the boy's hair so it wouldn't fall into his eyes.

"All ready." He commented when he finished.

"When I start wearing the crown everywhere I won't be able to use them?" He asked, referring to his glasses.

"It's just a matter of fitting them, but you'll have to take them off for the coronation."

"Don't even remind me."

Dream left the things next to him when he sat on the small sofa that George had in the back of his room, the warrior had left his prominent ax on the floor, which was so long that it was almost the same height than George.

"When you are king ... will you raise me up? I would love to be head of the royal guard." He asked curiously.

"I do not know. Maybe... Would something bad happen if I gave my position to someone else? I really don't want to be king."

Dream noticed George's concern.

"Don't be negative, you just have to stay neutral in the situations that occur, besides, now you can have and do whatever you want. You could create rules, change the political system and do good things ... or better not do anything and let the kingdom fall apart, I would have fun in both situations."

Despite not seeing his face, George knew that Dream was smiling.

"You don't help me."

"I didn't mean to do it either."

Dream sat up unexpectedly and his posture changed to one of a warrior. George looked at him strangely. In a few seconds the door opened, it was one of the castle's servants.

"My apologies to his Majesty, but you must leave to begin the coronation."

"Let's go right away." Dream replied in a monotonous tone.

Wow, George thought. He sometimes forgot that Dream had been a murderer and all his senses were more developed than any other person he had ever known, to the point that he noticed the footsteps of someone despite being far away or distracted.

The servant disappeared through the door and Dream approached George.

"A great day awaits you."

The imposing appearance of his friend made him think about how two such different people had come to be friends for so many years. Without further words and with their spirits on the ground, they both left the room for their coronation ceremony.
