"A second chance at the first impression is a wish come true"

Fateh frantically paced the length of the corridor outside his room.

"Veere, has she gained consciousness as yet" Mahi whispered. Fateh peeked into his room for the umpteenth time through the ajar door. Seeing the still unconscious woman the frown that had graced Fateh around four hours ago and refused to leave ever since deepend.

"No, not as yet..." he sighed.

Amrik gave Fateh a reassuring shake of his head, "don't worry she will be conscious soon...but hua kya tha exactly?"

Fateh exhaled a shaky breath, running his hand through his hair in frustration he began narrating the incident.

As soon as Fateh had realised that he had caused some sort of accident he rammed his foot into the brake causing the jeep to come to an abrupt halt. Fear seeped into Fateh as he realised it was a person he had run over. Hopping down the jeep he made his way towards the person he had hurt.

Before him lay a woman clad in a white salwar that was now drenched in her own blood. The dark hue of blood and the sheer amount he could see made him uneasy. This did not look good.

Though he could not see the woman's face since her hair was covering it he could guess that the woman was in her twenties.

Kneeling beside the unconscious body Fateh gently tapped the lady on her shoulder.

"Excuse me, excuse me" he repeated. But every time his call went unanswered his heart sank deeper and deeper.

Wasting no time he lifted the woman in his arms and carried her to his jeep. Safely buckling her in he called the doctor asking him to immediately reach his house. With that Fateh sped towards his own house.

The roads were empty so getting back home would not take long, another 5 minutes and he would reach. As he pressed harder on the accelerator he glanced back at the injured woman. She still seemed unconscious, the wind whipped against the jeep as Fateh picked up pace causing both the woman's dupatta and hair to obstruct his view.

Briefly pausing his race he carefully tucked the now lose dupatta in the back of his jeep. That is when her face caught his attention. Her hair no longer covered his view and oh my god. It was the shadain, the stupid idiotic woman from this evening.

Of course it was her! he could never forget her face. Whispering curses to himself the rest of the way he made it to the house. Lifting the shadain in his arms he rang the doorbell.

He was greeted by the sight of his worrisome mother.

"Fateh! Kaha gaya th-" The rest of her words died in her mouth as she took in the sight before her.

"Fateh! kya hua? yeh kon hai?"

"I will tell you everything ma"

Fateh replied as he made his way in, heading straight to his room. He carefully placed the shadain on his bed and headed out to explain the situation to his concerned family.

"I was out on a drive, had a small accident, the doctor is on his way don't worry" Fateh reasoned.

"Accident? Are you hurt?" His father asked. Fateh shook his head in response.

"No, the blood that has soiled my t-shirt is all hers"

And with that the doctor had arrived a few minutes later, after conducting a thorough check, cleaning and wrapping all the wounds he had told Fateh that she would wake up in the next few hours. It had been 4 hours but she hadn't even stirred.

Fateh looked at his siblings helplessly as they continued to stare at him amazed.

"Wait! so she is the same woman who had lectured you?" Amrik asked, clearly rubbing salt on his still freshly wounded ego. Buzzo, the big mouthed Buzzo who had unfortunately witnessed the whole scene had gone and blurted out the entire happenings to Mahi and Amrik.

Fateh nodded solemnly, clearly not enjoying where this conversation was headed.

"Wah veere! Jiske wajah se aap drive pe gaye usi ko maar ke aagay, yeh talent na sirf aap main ho sakta hai" Mahi giggled.

Fateh rolled his eyes exasperated. Yes he clearly hated the woman but killing her was not on his to-do list.

"Uske kapde?" Fateh asked in an attempt to change the topic.

"Change kardiye...waise why are you so angry at her, she was only doing her job, you were the one fighting like a hooligan"

"That woman had the audacity to lecture me when she put herself in harms way and I saved her! She wouldn't even listen to me when I tried explaining! And on top of that she is lecturing me like I am her student!"

Mahi laughed "I have never seen you get so riled up because of a woman before Veere, whatever it might be she is something different to have you so worked up because of her...waise I don't know if you have noticed but she is pretty hot"

"The woman is unconscious Mahi! I just hit her with my car, she could have died...you know what I am going to get some water, let me know if she wakes up"

Inside the room Tejo's eyes fluttered open. What had happened? The last thing she remembered was stepping out for some air since she couldn't sleep. Sitting up she clutched her head. It was throbbing with pain.

That is when she took notice of her surroundings, she was in a room, but it wasn't a familiar one. She heard some talking outside and tried to concentrate on what was being said.

"Do you think he did it on purpose?" A male voice whispered

"Are you mad? Fatehveer is not like that!" A female voice replied

" I know...but you saw how angry he was when he left the house?" The male voice countered

"Shh, I think she is awake...Fatehveer ko bula ke la" With that the voices died down.

On purpose? As Tejo pressured herself to think she vaguely remembered getting hit by a car. Why would someone run her over on purpose? Who would do that? Who are these people? Where is she? How long was she unconscious? and most important of all who the hell is Fateh?

There were so many questions in her mind...but she would have to wait for the answers. Just then the door clicked.
