"We're all islands shouting lies to each other across seas of misunderstanding"

As soon as the words had left Tejo's mouth she cringed internally. The reaction on her part was impulsive and only on hindsight did she realise how weird it was. Obviously he had not changed her clothes. It would have been his sister or someone else...right?

Fateh rolled his eyes again. He seemed to be doing a lot of that around the shadain. After all she does do and say some crazy things.

"No, I changed them. Actually the doctor told me to so I did it." Mahi responded instead and Tejo smiled. To Tejo the lafander's sister Mahi, seemed like the only normal one. His brother Amrik, too like him was mufat and badtameez.

The oldest of the lot, the great Fateh Singh Virk as he thought himself to be was the lafander. In Tejo's opinion lafander as a na,e suited him more than Fateh.

"Tumne!?" Fateh repeated her words from before clearly making a mockery of her. He added this weird expression where he widened his eyes and scrunched his nose. Then moved his arms around wildly as if that is the way she talked.

Fateh had faced several challengers in and outside the ring, people as nasty as Mandeep. All strong well trained men. This was the first time a woman had so openly challenged him and Fateh Singh Virk never backed down from challenges.

So he was not going to leave any chance he had to taunt the shadain. After all she was the one who had started round two with her sarcastic reply to his very honest question. She was a worthy opponent and he wanted to see which one of them would win by the end of this.

His mockery was enough to infuriate Tejo. She had enough of his nonsense

"Bandar lag rahe ho, aur waise bhi main aise baat nahi karti" Tejo responded through gritted teeth.

"bandar toh lagunga hi, aap ki nakal jo utaar raha tha. Ab pata chala ki dusre logo ko aap kitne annoying lagti hai!"

"tameez nahi sikhayi na kisi ne tumhe, isiliye yeh haalat hai tumhari. Din main awaara panti aur gunda gardi. Phir raat ko gaadi se logo ko udana"

Her comment mad Fatehs straighten a litlle "Aap ka accident karne ke liye I am sorry. It wasn't on purpo..."  he tried to explain

"Sorry my foot" Tejo said cutting him off

"Sorry bol toh raha hoon" Fateh spat

"Ehsaan nahi kar rahe sorry bol kar samjhe? Tumhari galti thi!"

"Maan toh raha hu main apni galti, I am apologising"

"Apology tab boli jaati hai jab genuinely sorry feel karte hai, tum jaise aawara logo ko thik karna mujhe ache se aata hai..." Tejo retorted but was cut off by Fateh

"Kamaal hai, aap to chadhe hi jaa rahi hai, mazaa aataa hai kya aapko argue karne mein?"

Before Tejo could respond the sharp ring of the doorbell interrupted their heated argument. While Fateh glared at the shadain, who was slowly becoming a very big nuisance Tejo's head snapped up at the sound and her hand stopped playing with the blanket on the bed. This had to be Abhiraj, like always he was here to rescue her from this hell.

Tejo wanted to leap out of bed but refrained from doing so remembering how it ended the last time she did. Mahi who had rushed out to open the door returned with Abhiraj in tow.

"Tejo!" Abhiraj breathed out as he looked at her. The sight of her only added to his worries. She had a bandaged head and a foot wrapped in a crepe bandage. What the hell had happened?

He ran to her side. "Tejo kya hua? Chott kaisi lagi itni?" worry laced his voice as he scanned her from top to bottom looking for anymore signs of injury.

"Kuch nahi, bas ek chota sa accident tha. Main thik hoon" she replied.

Fateh who was watching this whole interaction noticed the way Tejo seemed to relax in the man's presence. He noticed her eyes light up at the sight of him and how her tiredness seemed to vanish.

Husband? was his initial thought but neither did the man nor the shadain wear any wedding band. The shadain did not have any nupitals on either.

Boyfriend? was his next guess and that seemed more convincing to Fateh. But then again this shadain had a boyfriend!? Was there really a man built to be able to handle this woman and her craziness?

The craziness aside, he had never met such a feisty and head strong woman before. She seemed confident and fearless even when she sat injured in a strangers house amongst three strangers. As he was able to detach from the hatred he felt towards her for a moment he could see why a man could love her.

Tejo slowly slid out of the bed and attempted to get up . As soon as she did the room began to spin around her again. She stumbled towards Abhiraj on the verge of face planting onto the floor only to have Fateh hold her...again.

Fateh seeing her stumble had caught hold of her arm to help the shadain steady herself.  Immediately after which Abhiraj caught hold of Tejo's other arm. Then wrapping his arm around her he guided her away from Fateh and towards the door.

Now Fateh was completely convinced that the Man was this shadain's boyfriend. The protectiveness that he displayed, the care that he showered on the shadain could only come out of love. He had to be her boyfriend.

Fateh looked at the man in both amazement and pity. On some level he pitied the guy to have to handle such a woman. The shadain could argue till the cows come home . On the other hand he wanted to salute the man for handling a woman who knew just how to get on his nerves.

Though Fateh felt his name for the woman was nothing but accurate he was curious of her real name. Calling after her retreating figure he asked "Naam toh batati jao"

The shadain stopped in her tracks and looked back. After thinking for a handful of seconds she replied "Tejo. Tejo Sandhu"
