I can't sleep. I have too many questions on my mind. Sir Topham Hatt told us to get some sleep after pulling the trigger. I don't know how long we can last. Where the hell is our allies, why won't they fly over to us and help? Are there political issues holding them back from doing so? I hope to god they weren't taken over.
I miss my old life.I miss my family.
I miss Rachel.
I'll see if Topham is awake. I need to talk to him.
1:32 AmI woke up Charlie to let him know where I was going, and got a sleepy Leonard to come with me just in case something happened.
2:35 Am
He was luckily awake, sitting inside a brake van, with his hat off onto the brake wheel. His head was in his hands, shining with sweat as the lamp across from him glowed in the night. His uniform was covered in dirt, grime, and had tears in the sleeves. He was really going through it. We both comforted him, and sympathized. We spent some time talking more in-depth about our experiences in this hell, and popped a few jokes to lighten the mood. After a bit of small talk, I decided to ask about the history of him and Peter.
Peter Theodore Boomer used to design diesels and supply for British Rail. When we were young, he was a close friend of Bertram, and agreed that he would supply his railway with diesels if he ever got his dream job. Lucky for the both of them, he did. Peter distributed diesels to him and in turn, Topham paid for them. However, something seemed off with the diesels he received. His first one, Diesel, was very arrogant and full of himself, which lead to him being sent back to Peter. Topham wasn't pleased with him, and ordered two larger diesels a few years later, those being BoCo and Daisy. Daisy was sassy, and not willing to work, and BoCo had engine troubled. The latter costed him quite a lot, especially since he was also repairing Edward at the time. Peter sold Mavis to the Ffarquhar Quarry, and she was another temperamental engine, like Daisy. Topham started to think that Peter was supplying him with the worst engine of each batch. It got to the point where he received engines that were barely functional at all, such as Derek. Topham sent him a letter, saying that he should improve the diesel locomotives he makes, or else his deal with him is over. When Peter received this message, something clicked inside of him. He started doing tests and experiments on engines old and new, trying to make the best engine possible, but these tests would be considered inhumane and illegal. He put faces on the inside of the firebox door, and fused engines together, surgically meshing the faces together and putting two minds into one. His last engine he made was Diesel 10, but Topham found out about his horrifying illegal activities, and cut all ties. He alerted authorities, and Peter lost everything. His job, his status, his client and his friends. Topham acquired Diesel 10, and sold him to the ironworks. Peter swore revenge on his previous partner, and he hadn't been seen or heard from since. Topham started getting diesels from another individual, where he received Salty.
He fears that Peter won't stop until all his engines are gone, or if everything he loves is destroyed. It's a horrifying thought. What will happen to us? Can we even escape? Will any of us survive? I kept those questions to myself, and thanked him. I decided to go back to sleep, and leave him to be by himself. We have many things to do tomorrow.

Edward woke me up, and told me Thomas looked upset. He was talking to Annie and Clarabel about how scared he was, and how two of his closest friends are gone forever. He didn't even get to say goodbye to them. He felt hopeless, and alone. Annie and Clarabel assured him that he was going to survive, and now that they were together again, they'll be able to make it thought together. We moved Edward up beside him, so they could exchange some words. We discussed the basic plan of what we were going to do late last night, and that frightened Thomas. He didn't want to put him or Annie and Clarabel in danger. He mentioned he still needs to keep Toby's request of taking care of Henrietta, and that involves finding her. Edward assured him that Henrietta will be found, and that she will be safe and sound. As the two engines talked like father and son, it suddenly clicked with me. Thomas doesn't feel like he should still be here, or still be alive for that matter, but he keeps going because that's what his friends would want him to do. He wants to make Percy proud, and needs to keep Toby's legacy protected. I gave him a pat on the footplate, and said that no matter what happens on this railway, we're still one big family.
The tank engine sighed, as a small tear appeared in the corner of his left eye.7:14 Am
Alright. Here's the plan. We know that the weird creature that looks like Oliver resides at the Ironworks, and it's located at the end of said line. Edward, Henry, Boco, Mavis, and Daisy will go there, with armed workmen and utilities to take that thing down. Thomas does not want to go, and James has run out of coal, so they'll stay behind at the yard. Now, back to that creature. Apparently, its "Nest" is the giant building with the huge doors, so that's where we'll be headed. Since Henry is the strongest, and the one with the most protection, he'll be the one to go in front, pushing a flatbed we have in the yards. He can strike the legs, and hopefully take it out. If that does not work, we'll use BoCo and Mavis as well. Edward and Daisy will be carrying supplies and workers, and will act as our getaway engines if stuff gets out of control. We'll be firing at it from multiple angles, since we don't really know it's weak spot, but we can only assume it's the mouth. If it get briefly injured, it'll give us the opportunity to let one of us run in and break the circuit on the door so it permanently closes the doors, trapping that thing inside. If all goes to plan, we'll all get away safely, and that thing will be contained. It won't finish the job, but it'll allow us to make a run for it to the mainland.
God I hope this works
