Third person POV

"Ben, are you sure you're okay?" Leia asked her son, worry flooding her voice. "That wound looks pretty bad."

"I'm fine, I told you." Ben said, and gave her an assuring smile. "Besides, the doctor said it'll be better in about a week."

"If you say so..." She sighed in defeat. "Anyway, we're planning on ending the selection soon."

"Very well." He confirmed that he understood.

"By the way," She said as she walked out of his room. "Aunt Mara is coming." And with these words, she left the room.

Ben sat down on his bed with a toothy grin on his face. He didn't see his aunt in years. Unlike his uncle, he was close to his aunt. He remembered how he used to play with her when he was young. They had carboard that they would pretend to be Jedi masters with, and during their carboard lightsabers fights, she would always let him win.

Rey's POV

Kaydel, Rose and I sat at Rose's room. We were working on our part of preparing the end of the Selection.

There were two groups of Selected and every group had a different job; our group was in charge of decorating the ballroom.

Since it was going to be Christmas soon, we decided to decorate it 'Christmas style'. Like the tradition, there will be decorated spruce trees; we also decided to hang on the ceiling artificial snowflakes, as well as putting small lights and white roses all around the walls and the stairs' railing. On the sides of the ballroom we chose to put dark oak tables with white table maps on them, where there will be some food and snacks, and a small stage for the band that will play some song while the guests are there.

"And... Done!" Kaydel proudly stated as she finished the sketched of how we wanted the ballroom to look like.

It was gorgeous, well, at least in my opinion. Rose seemed to like it as well.

"Well than ladies," Rose started, a grin on her face. "I believe it is time for us to go ahead and get our dressed for tomorrow!"

Both Kaydel and I laughed as Rose dragged us to the stylist's room. According to Rose, the stylist left the palace to take care of her children during this tough time, so she left a bunch of dresses for the Selected.

As we walked into the room, there were dresses hung up on hangers and mannequins all around the room.

"How am I going to know which one to pick?" I asked. I never really paid attention to this kind of stuff, since I never imagined that I would be in this current situation.

"Don't worry, we'll help you find one." Kaydel smiled at me.

"Speaking of which, I think I found mine!" Rose exclaimed, holding a dark red dress, that had two large pieces of fabric crossing in front of each other to cover the chest, and at the waist, the dress started to cascade down, not too puffy, yet it doesn't stick to the legs.

"I approve." Both Kaydel and I said, and then we started laughing at the fact that we both said it at the same time.

"Also," Kaydel started, as gestured to a green dress. "I think I found mine as well."

This dress had a simple, yet beautiful way to cover the chest. Like any normal shirt, it had one, large piece of fabric to cover the chest, and just like Rose's dress, it cascaded down at the waist part.

"Isn't it beautiful?" She asked.

Rose and I nodded in agreement.

"Go check if the size is right, I'll continue to try and find mine." I told them, and pushed them towards the dressing room.
