"Y/n.. i.. love.. you.. wait.. for.. me.."

My eyes widened and i let out a cry

"SAN LANG!"

My mind went blank and all i could think about was what san lang said

'"Y/n.. i.. love.. you.. wait.. for.. me.."'

'"Y/n.. i.. love.. you.. wait.. for.. me.."'

'"Y/n.. i.. love.. you.. wait.. for.. me.."'

I had no control of my body and just left everything to my mind

'I have to get to san lang'

I jumped down but a hand grabbed my arm

It was ke mo.

"You are not allowed to jump, i have to ask you some questions"

"LET GO OF ME, I HAVE TO SAVE SAN LANG. CHENG YIN, I SUMMON YOU!"

Cheng yin appeared and changed into silk bands

I forcefully removed my hand from ke mo and dragged him down with me.

There was a gust of wind as i slowly fell down. I used cheng yin to try to anchor but a barrier was suddenly activated.

I closed my eyes

"I'm coming to see you, san lang"

As i fell, a familar pair of arms caught me, holding me bridal-style.

I slowly opened my eyes and felt a familiar warmth and aura.

It was too dark so I could not see the face very well until they spoke and i froze, as tears filled my eyes.

"Y/n?! Are you alright?! Don't ever do that again! You almost gave me a heart attack!"

The tears started trickling down my face

"S-san lang? Is that really you?"

I unknowingly started touching his chest, slowing moving up towards his face, then lips.

It is him.

San lang lit a torch so i could see him

I quickly cupped his face and started moving his head in different directions to check if he was injured before sobbing.

"You really scared me! I thought you left!" I lightly punched his chest and sobbing.

San lang sat on the ground, leaning on a wall and placed me on his lap.

"Shh, I'm completely fine. See? Don't cry, seeing you cry breaks my heart"

he gently cupped my face and wiped the tears away as he patted my head, trying to calm me down.

I composed myself and wiped my tears away. I looked at san lang to see some dirt on his face and his clothes untidy.

"Aiya, look at you. I thought i told you to wear your clothes properly or else you'll get sick"

I wiped his face and fixed his clothes

San lang giggled and nodded his head

"Yes, y/n is right!"

I realized that i was still sitting on san lang's lap and my face turned red.

"P-Put me down!"

San lang chuckled

"Don't get shy on me now, the ground is dirty" he refuses

"Aiyaa"

I look around and see a bunch of corpses of the banyue soldiers

"... did you do this?..."

With san lang holding me close to him, I quickly realized something.

There was no sounds of heartbeat and traces of breathing.

'This confirms my suspicions'

The ground started rumbling and san lang held me closer while carrying me bridal style.

Ke mo ran towards us, trying to strike but san lang swiftly dodged it with his agility while stepping on him in the process, quickly defeating him.

"You're not going to ask about my identity? What if I'm not human?"

"So what? I like you for being you, not your identity"

San lang looked at me, eyes widened.

"Now put me down, this is embarrassing" i muttered, looking away.

"Yes, yes, okay fine"

He carefully set me down and i walked over to where ke mo was, putting a distance between us.

"Y/n! What are you doing?! It's dangerous, come back!"

"San lang, stop nagging! I will be careful!"

Suddenly, a young girl came flying down into the pit

"It's you, traitor! You're going to pay for what you did!" Ke mo yelled at the girl.

Her name was banyue.

"Why do you hate her so much?" I asked

A/n: I'm skipping the part where he tells the story because i forgot the details

Banyue removes the spell that was covering the top of the pit when suddenly, xie lian and fu yao jumps in.

With banyue caught off guard, ke mo attacked her

"Stop! There's no point in fighting!" Xie lian yells

Xie lian stops the fight and reveals that he is acquaintances with banyue and tells what happened that year.

Suddenly, snakes started surrounding us

"What are you doing?! Stop your snakes!" Fu yao exclaims

"I'm not controlling them!" Banyue panics and cries out

San lang steps in front of me to shield me and one glare from him sends the snakes cowering.

But xie lian and fu yao were unprotected.

"I can't use any mana!" Fu yao said

A sword comes flying towards san lang but he detects it and used e-ming to clash swords

A man steps out from the dark.

It was the guide, zhao; or rather general pei jr.

General Pei Jr reveals that he was the person behind the downfall of banyue kingdom.

Two voices ring out from above and we are all pulled out from the pit.

It was the wind master and a unknown woman

"Greetings to the royal princess" they said as they bowed

"You were the ones who created the sandstorm"

A/n: sorry, this end of the chapter was a bit rushed and was ended quite abrupt😓
