Chris's POV

I walked back into my office and Alexis was standing up. "Alexis don't worry about her she's just upset." She look at me with a face I haven't really seen on her before. "Chris. Why would the Russians do that to her?" She's worried about Julie.

I was about to answer when someone walked in. "Boss." I turned around. "What?" He stood there for a minute. "The girl that was just her. She got into a crash about ten minutes away. She's on her way to the hospital now. Just thought you wanna know." He walked out and I looked back at Alexis who looked sad but not on the verge of tears yet. "Chris can we go see her. Please?"

"Alexis there not gonna let us see her unless were family and were not her family." I know she was worried about her. Even though they barely know each other they had a good bond. That was the downside of this. She had to see us fight. And one way or another one of us is gonna have to win this overall. It's not about personal matter it's about us as mafia leaders. "Chris you could say she's you girlfriend or something. Please?" Now she was on the verge of tears. I'm sure I could pass as her boyfriend. And I don't want Alexis to be worrying about it. But if Julie is hurt I wouldn't want her to see that. "Fine. But if they let us in you stay in the waiting room until I see her. If she's to hurt for visitors."

She came up and hugged me. We never really did the brother, sister bond thing. And if we did hug you would know now is not the time for something stupid. I pulled away and we got into the car. When we got to the hospital I went up to the front desk. "Hi how may I help you?"

"I'm looking for Julie Blanch." As soon as I said the name her head shot up. "I'm sorry sir she's currently in surgery. She had a really bad crash." That's not gonna help with Alexis's worrying. "Can you tell me what happened." I know what's she gonna say. "I'm sorry sir I can only give out that information to family." Think Chris. "I'm her fiance."

"She broke two ribs. And she had a big piece of glass in her side. Bleeding a lot. They don't know if they'll be able to stop it." God Julie. Part of this is my fault. "We'll let you know when she's out of surgery." "Okay thank you."

I walked over to Alexis and her bodyguard. I had someone come with us just incase. I sat down and told Alexis everything. She was crying. Crying for a girl she barely knew. She cared about her though I could see it in her eyes. Shit. I shouldn't have let them get so attached. I shouldn't have let Alexis get so attached. She the type of girl who does get attached easily I knew that and I still let them hang out.

About an hour later the nurse comes up to us. "Sir?" I look up at her and walk away. Alexis was sleeping. "She's up now. Surgery went well and you can see her now if you'd like." Thank God. "Yes I would like to see her please." "Follow me."

She brought me to the room and left us alone. I walked over to the chair by her bed. She started to wake. "Hey Julie." She turned to face me. "Chris?" She went to sit. "Careful. You just got out of surgery. Don't need you hurting yourself again." I help her sit up. "What are you doing here?" That's a good question. Still asking myself that question. "Alexis wanted to come see you. She's sleeping right now but I thought to come see how your feeling."

"Oh yeah just great Chris." Sarcasm. "I'm sorry." She looked towards me but I wasn't looking her straight in the eyes. I couldn't. I felt like I was the reason this happened. I need to remember she's my enemy and I have to hate her.

But seeing her like this is killing me. "Julie.?" I look up to see Alexis. "Hey Alexis." She went over and gave her a hug. "How are you feeling?" "I'm okay. Sore but okay." I looked up at her then Julie and we finally made eye contact. "Alexis can you give me a minute to talk to your brother please." She nodded and walked out.
