Twenty Seven

Four days later. 

The plane landed in LA. I was home. I came home a day early to surprise Chris. I got a cab to drive me to the house because Chris dropped me off so I didn't have a car. I got there and when I went inside I heard him in his office but the door was closed. I put my bags down by the front door and knocked on the door. "Yes Alexis?"

I walked in and closed it. He was looking down at his paperwork. "Miss me?" I said and he looked up. He stood up and walked over and pulled me into a kiss. He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. "You weren't supposed to come home until tomorrow."

"Thought I'd come home early surprise you." I said and kissed him again. "I missed you." He put me down. "I missed you more. Where's Alexis's it seems quiet?" 

"She's doing school work." He said. It was three thirty. "Okay well I have to go give her the gift I got her. Hopefully she'll talk to me." I said. He grabbed my waist. "What's my gift?"

"Behave and you'll get it tonight." I walked out. I went upstairs and took the necklace out of my bag. I went to her room and knocked on the door. "Come in."

I walked in. "Hey Alexis." I said. She spun her chair around. "Your not supposed to be home until tomorrow." She said. "I came home early to surprise for brother. I have something for you."

"Look Julie I can't right now I'm busy." 

"I'll leave it here." I walked over to her and put it on the desk. Her top drawer was open and I saw a pregnancy test. She quickly closed it. "Alexis."

"That's private." She said. "Alexis are you pregnant?" I asked. She put her pen down. "Yeah." She said. 

"Does Chris know?" She shook her head. "Jack doesn't know yet either." 

"When did you find out?" I pulled a chair she had over. "The day you left. I took one of your test from your bathroom." I grabbed her hands. "You need to Jack. And Chris." The door opened. "Tell me what?" Chris asked coming in. 

She stood up and so did I. I walked over to him. "Promise me you'll stay calm about what she's about to tell you." He looked at me weird. "Okay." He said with a weird look and confused tone. I looked at her and nodded. "Okay. I'm pregnant." She said. His eyes widen. "Your what!?" I went up to him. "Stay calm." I said

"How the hell are you fucking pregnant Alexis?!" 

"I guess when we were using a condom it broke or something. I don't know." He was angry. "You don't know. Congrats Alexis because you didn't use your brain you went and got yourself pregnant!" I looked at her she was on the verge of tears. "Chris I need to talk to you." I pulled him into our room. "What?!"

"First of all fix the attitude." He calm down. "Thank you. Now you need to stop yelling at her." 

"That's her mistake Julie." He said. "They used protection. It's not there fault if a condom broke at least she had Jack use one. And right now she's need you. Not yelling at her. She needs you to help her and tell it's gonna be alright. She found out the day I left and didn't tell you. She hasn't told Jack either because she is scared. And I was her age and was pregnant I would be fucking scared to tell anyone also." 

He walked out the room and I followed. Alexis was sitting in her chair. Chris went and sat in the one next to her. I stood in the doorframe. "Alexis. Hey look at me." She looked up at him and he hugged her. "You need to tell Jack and talk about what you two want to do with the baby." He said. She nodded and he stood up and walked past me. Great now he's mad at me. She called Jack over. I stayed in the room to talk to both of them about what they could do and what they wanted to do.
