"It's the last day of summer. The only thing I want to do today is sleep and nothing else but I can't sleep no matter how I want to. Urgh. I reached for my phone to see what time it is, 1:40pm. Sighs, maybe I should eat something downstairs but just thinking about getting up already drains my mental energy. I switched my position and faced the window. The house is quiet as usual. Compared to our house before it was bright and loud. My mom's always on the run traveling back and forth to who knows where. Ever since a celebrity hired her to be her stylist she started to float away from me. Although she’s been working non-stop for my own sake I can't help but feel lonely.
I tried to go back to sleep again until I heard the doorbell ring—Did I heard that right?
Ding dong.
I got off my bed right away and rushed downstairs. Is mom back? When I opened the door a young teen smiled brightly and jumped at me for a tight hug.
"Celi!" She squealed in excitement but it didn't last long as we were out of balance and knocked ourselves on the floor.

"When I heard you guys moved in the city I was ecstatic to go back home from vacation. I wished you moved sooner though so I can take you with us." Evelyn is bubbly as ever talking about her summer adventures while sitting on the bar stool.
As far as I can remember every Christmas or birthdays, Evelyn would go look for me to play. She always wanted to have a sister but unfortunately aunt Lydia can't bear anymore child. Looking at her now sometimes it feels sureal she's gonna be in college soon.
"There's always next time. Don't worry." I said as I hand her the jar of cookies which she gladly accept.
"Oh! I have an idea. I'll tour you around the city. This is going to be exciting!" She stood up and grabbed my shoulders from behind to lead me upstairs.
"Get changed Celin. Let's go shopping!"

In the middle of the bustling mall, Evelyn is about done with her 10th shop stop. We've been walking non-stop, my feet are begging me to rest but the benches nearby are all taken. Is this what she meant by touring around the city? I closed my eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. Being in a mall packed with people moving in different directions at the same time around me makes me dizzy. This is why I don't like being out for too long— especially if it's a crowded place. While waiting and enduring the pain of my poor soles, someone walked past me entering the shop. It was a short moment but his looks didn't disappoint to catch my attention. I brushed off my thoughts and regained my posture. Look away Celin, away from the temptation of Satan!
"Celin!" Evelyn called out. The temptation guy was now standing behind Evelyn. His deep brown eyes met mine.
"Logan, this is my cousin Celin and Celin, this is Logan my friend."
