A bus stopped in front of us, producing a sound of air escaping from the pressure. The doors opened and a couple of passengers existed the bus. Once they all made their way out, Connor stepped forward and gestured his left hand like a butler ushering me to take the bus.

    "Ladies first." he said.

"This is ridiculous." I muttered, entering the bus as he follows behind.

I took a seat in a two seater beside the window and made myself comfortable by putting the bag on my lap. Connor then occupied the seat next to me and the bus took off. I wonder what is he up to next.

"Is this some kind of a dare?" I asked, eye to eye not letting myself flinch at any moment.

If he's playing some kind of tricks even if he's cute it won't work on me. I don't like my feelings to be toyed at. We only just met yesterday and now he's acting suspicious for my liking.

"Dare? No." He looked confused at first and laughed a bit and continued,

"What made you think about that?"

"Well, how you asked me was weird. Conditions? This? If you asked me to buy you lunch then I wouldn't raised any suspicions about you. Plus... I barely even know you."

"Yet. You barely know me yet. That's why you're here with me. I want to know you."

"..." I raised my left eyebrow.

"Because... I find you interesting." He added and before I could interrogate him more. I felt my phone vibrated, it's mom. It's been a while since she called I didn't even noticed.

    "Mom?" I answered.

"Hello dear, how are you there?"

    "I'm good."

"Honey, I'm sorry I can't go back home yet this friday. One of my clients had a change of mind, I might be home around next next week. Don't worry I'll send you some money. Keep me updated whenever you need help okay? I need to go now. Sorry, love you. Bye."

"Bye." I mumbled and dropped the call.

I should expected this to happen, I mean I almost forgot that she's supposed to come soon. The more she's away, the more I get used to it. She only calls me from time to time whether it's about her, unable to come home or to tell me she sent me some money.

I took a sigh and put my phone back inside my backpack. We silently sat there for a while letting myself enjoy the view of the bustling streets of Wingston. Busy people go about their day, most of them are in a hurry, some take their time window shopping and eating to a nearby food cart. Buildings of old and new passed through my vision. I kinda hope it'll rain. The bus halted for another stop.

"Come with me." Connor said out of the blue. Both of my eyebrows raised in confusion. We aren't yet near our neighborhood.

    "Trust me." He added.

As if that would reassure me.

"Where are we going? I thought-"

"Just tag along, the bus is about to go." He held out his hand which I took out of panic and I followed his lead. I don't think this a good idea. What if I get lost if he plans to pull a prank on me? I'm not familiar in this city. Why did I even listen to this guy in the first place?

When we got off the bus, we're still holding our hands. I tried to let go but he held it firm.

"Don't let go, you might get lost."
