6.3 Aaoge Jab Tum O Sajna

Zoya was sitting in the restaurant, waiting for Aditya. Aditya hurriedly entered and saw Zoya sitting on a table by the window. He rushed towards her and as soon as he reached her table, he started apologising.

"Sorry sorry. I wanted to come earlier but I had some meetings", said Aditya as he took a seat opposite to hers. "It's okay. I can understand. So what should we order?" asked Zoya in her usual chirpy voice.

They both placed their orders and then Aditya saw Zoya looking at something out of the window. He cleared his throat and she looked at him. "Is everything okay?" asked Aditya.

"Yes, why are you asking this?" asked Zoya. "Just like that. It's already been five minutes and Ms. Zoya hasn't spoke anything", said Aditya as he playfully saw the time in his wrist watch.

Zoya glared at him while he controlled his smile. "Not so funny!" said Zoya. "Sorry! But on a serious note, why are you so quiet?" asked Aditya.

"Ab shayad aapko humari itni bakwas sunni bhi nahi padegi", said Zoya with a slight smile on her face. "Come on! Ab tumhari baatein sunne ki itni aadat ho gayi hain ki agar tum paanch minute bhi nahi bolti, main ghabhra jaata hoon", said Aditya.
(Maybe from now onwards you wouldn't have to listen to my non sense... I am so habituated to listening to you that even if you don't speak for five minutes, I get tensed.)

Zoya smiled and then said, "I am serious. I will move to the US." Aditya got shocked and then started laughing, saying, "I know you are kidding. This was a really bad joke."

"Aditya, this time I am very serious. I am getting engaged soon and after the engagement, we have decided to have a court marriage. We will soon move to the US. I would be quitting my lovely job soon", said Zoya as she played with the rim of the cup of coffee.

Aditya was shocked when he heard Zoya. "You are getting engaged? Why didn't you tell me anything about it?" asked Aditya. "Aditya, please calm down. My fiancé has a job in the states and he wants that I should too go with him. I don't think anything is wrong in this. I would have to understand him as well", said Zoya.

"Fine! If it is your final decision then I won't force you to change it. But atleast tell me who is the guy?" asked Aditya. For some reason, he felt quite uneasy when she told him about her plans.

"His name is Dr. Arshad Habib. He is practising in the states. His Parents have raised me up like their own daughter after Ammi and Abbu left me. I used to live with them until I got financially stable. All they want is that I should get married to their son. Even I have no problem with it. It was decided years ago", said Zoya.

The waiter placed their order on their table and left from there after giving them a smile. But both of them were in their own world to notice anything else.
