8.2 We Were Liars

"Wow! This is so cute! Zoya, this feels like a filmy love story. I wish I could witness it", said her friend, Pooja, a lawyer, with dreamy eyes. They both were sitting in Zoya's room and when Zoya told her about her fondness for Sahir, that was the reaction that she got.

Zoya smiled shyly and said, "I am soon going to tell him. I hope he reciprocates." "He would! Don't worry", assured Pooja and Zoya smiled. "Achha, it's late. I have a dinner date tonight", saying this, Pooja winked.

Zoya smiled and Pooja left after a while. Zoya sighed and bit her lower lip anxiously. Would Sahir really reciprocate her feelings? Not wanting to think about it more, she took a deep breath and got ready.

She was going to propose him tonight. She wore a pink coloured kurti with palazzo pants. She left her hair open and applied light make-up. She wore her jhumkas and looked in the mirror. 'I hope he likes this', thought Zoya.

Aditya was still in the Siddiqui Mansion. Zoya forced him to stay in the House. Aditya agreed as he was getting more and more closer to the case. He didn't want to do any mistake that would make him lose this case.

She had already messaged him to meet her. She was all ready to go. She just hoped that everything would go fine.

Aditya reached the place only to find it decorated. The table was nicely decorated with candles and the path was decorated by flower petals. 'No! Please don't let it be what I am thinking', thought Aditya.

He saw Zoya coming to him in a pretty pink dress. She stood before him and said, "Hi! I am glad you came." Aditya nodded with a fake smile and said, "What is this?"

"I don't know what would be your reaction. But I wanted to say this as I cannot keep this in my heart for more time. Sahir, when I saw you for the first time, I felt something different. You know what people usually feel in movies and stories? I felt the same. When we started spending time, I fell for you. I am sure that I have fallen in love with you. Mr. Sahir Chaudhary, I love you, I really do. I want to spend my entire life with you", confessed Zoya.

Aditya was completely shocked when he heard her. How was he supposed to tell her that everything he told her was a lie? Right from his identity to faking his accident? How would he break her heart?

Zoya was a very sweet and genuine person. It was very easy to be with her. Even his heart felt at ease whenever he was with her. But even if he says that his feelings are genuine, would she believe him after knowing his truth?

He was a police officer but at that moment, he felt like he was a liar! He had lied to Zoya. He thought to say the first truth to Zoya. So he simply uttered, "I love you too."
