Two months after Endgame/Four months before The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Michaela stalked into Dr. Raynor's office and said, "I know you're tired of seeing me, but I really think Bucky and I both getting therapy would help him."
Dr. Raynor looked up at the blonde. "And I've told you before, Miss Evans. Mr. Barnes needs to do this alone."
"Bucky opens up more around me. Let me guess; you're having trouble. He's refusing to talk, right?"
"Yes, but-"
"Maybe if I were there, he'd actually open up."
"You don't know that, Miss Evans."
"Neither do you, doctor."
"Touché. I'll see what I can do."
"That's all I'm asking."
One Week Later
Michaela followed Bucky to his therapy session, preparing her speech to once again persuade Dr. Raynor to let her join.
Before he walked in, Bucky glanced at Michaela and said, "Just wait for me, okay? If they don't let you in with me, let it go, okay?"
She pursed her lips. "I can't let it go, Buck. You know that."
"Mick, this has gone on for two months. It's time to call it."
"Bucky, I'm not giving up on this!"
"Michaela, I appreciate all you've tried. But it's time. You and I both know it."
Michaela glared at him and stared at the wall with an angry expression.
As Bucky walked into the room, Dr. Raynor said, "Bring Michaela in. I know she's out there."
"You're going to counsel us both?" Bucky questioned.
"She made a good case and when I brought her reasoning up, it was accepted."
A small smile tugged at Bucky's lips and he went to the door. He held his hand out to Michaela and her brow furrowed.
"Come on, doll," Bucky said as Michaela took his hand and the two walked into the room. "We've got a therapy session."
"They're letting us do therapy together?" Michaela asked.
Dr. Raynor nodded. "Yes, they are. You made a good point."
The two sat on the couch and Dr. Raynor said, "So, James. Tell me about your most recent nightmare. Michaela; are you having nightmares?"
