I sat in the backyard with the fam as Choppa cooked on the grill. Yosohn was sitting next to me sipping on his apple juice. My mind drifted off to Ariana and the shit that went down a few days ago. I clenched my jaw thinking about it.
"Dave come here please" I heard Jayda say, I got up and walked over to her. She pulled me over to the side and looked up at me.
"My texts to Ariana aren't going through... neither are my calls and her locations off. Dave I know you're mad at her and it's my fault because I shoulda shot that nigga in his kneecap but you gotta understand Ariana meant no harm! I know my bestfriend... which is why she doesn't need to be alone especially with what just happened to us" Jayda said while looking at me. I rubbed my face and sighed.
"Man aight but she better not say shit to me yo. She coulda called me or texted me and told me that nigga was here" I said while clenching my jaw. I walked over to Choppa who was smoking a blunt and rapping to one of Baby's songs.
"Yo Jayda said her texts aren't going through to Ari and she talking about she turned her location off. Ariana ain't really fucking with my people after what happened so let your people know what's going on" I told him and he nodded while typing away on his phone. I walked away from him and went to Yosohn, I sat next to him and rubbed his head causing him to look at me and smile. I smiled back and leaned back in my chair while sipping on my Henny.

I painted my toes as Love & Basketball played on tv, this was me and the twins movie. I sighed and closed the nail polish and set it aside on the small table next to me. I looked at the small baggie that sat next to me and played with my fingers. I've always said I didn't wanna end up like my mother but here I am about to sniff this white powder. I emptied the substance on the little tray that I had and grabbed a blade out of my purse, I cut the substance into a line then bought the tray close to my nose and snorted the powder with one finger blocking one of my nostrils till it was gone.
