Chapter 5

"Mumma!" Naira came and hugged Akshara from behind and she smiled.

"How was your day Naira?" Akshara asked

"It was really good mumma. You know our college has planned a farmhouse trip, for all the students." Naira said excitedly.

"You're not going princess!"Naitik came in as they both spoke

"But why papa? I really want to go." Naira said

"We don't know how far it will be, and sending you alone doesn't sound like a good option. How about we all go to a farmhouse, that way you will be with us, and we won't be worried much about it." Naitik said smiling

"Papa we can do that once bhai's marriage is done. We all can go with Keerti bhabi. And papa, trust me nothing will happen. And I am not alone, I have Kritika with me. It's just a 3 days trip. Please, I really want to go!" Naira asked pouting

"Haa naitik, let her go na, we all can go together once duggu's wedding is done, now she can go and enjoy with her friends." Akshara insisted. Giving it a though for some time, Naitik agreed.

"Okay princess! You can go, but only on one condition, that you'll take full care of yourself!" Naitik said smiling

"Yes papa, don't worry, Kritika, Kartik, they are there na...." She stopped as she said, while others looked at her.

"I mean, don't worry, I will be fine, thank you so much papa!" She said hugging Naitik and Akshara.

Naira started packing for her trip, while the same was going on at Goenka house.

"Naira! Kya ladki hai yaar yeh!" Kartik said as he jumped on his bed, lying down, and smiled brightly as he thought about her.

"Bilkul alag, sabse alag!" He said hugging a pillow tightly.

"Oh no! I have to pack for the trip! Why do I keep thinking about Naira?! Kartik, focus, you have lots of other work to do!" He said himself as he stood up.

"Kartik, when is the trip?" Suvarna entered

"Tomorrow morning Maa!" He replied

"Do you need anything?" She asked and he nodded in a negative response, smiling.

"Maa, don't you think once Kartik's college is done, we should get him married too? So we need to start looking for my bhabi from now on. Afterall, a month more, and his college will be done." Keerti entered, and Kartik snapped his head towards her

"Koi zaroorat nahi hai maa! I will find someone myself." He said smiling.

"Ya already dhund liya hai?" Keerti asked laughing.

Suddenly kartik was lost in his thoughts, while Suvarna placed her hand on his shoulder,

"What happened Kartik? What are you thinking?" She asked

"Aapke hone waali bahu ke baare mein, hai na, Kartik?" Keert continued

"Nahi, aisa kuch nahi hai! I have to get up early tomorrow. Good night!" He said hugging Suvarna and then Keerti. And both of them went out of the room.

The next morning all of them reached the farmhouse. Kartik went to the room, while Naira was already in her room getting freshen up.

"This was such a tiring journey." Kartik jumped on the bed, lying down.

"Where is Karan? We have the same rooms, he didn't come yet?" He spoke. Soon the washroom door clicked open, and his sight fell on it.

"Naira? Mujhe harr jagah yeh hi kyu nazar aati hai! Kartik stop thinking about her!" He said to himself, while his eyes still fixed on her.

"Ahhhh!" Naira screamed as she turned back to find Kartik lying down on the bed.

"Arrey this is really Naira!" Kartik got up.

"Tum mere room mein kya kar rhi ho?" Kartik asked folding his arms.

"Excuse me? This is my room, and you have come here!" Naira replied

"This is 109, my room!" Kartik said and Naira looked at the door.

"Nashe mein ho ya neend mein? This is 106 not 109!" She told and picked up his keys that were lying on the table.

"These are Kritika's keys! And you did this on purpose didn't you? You love troubling me hai na?" Naira asked

"Oh hello! Mujhe koi shaukh nahi hai tumhe disturb karne mein. Insaan hu, galti ho gayi!" Kartik said shrugging his shoulders

"Galti ki hai toh sudhaarlo ab, go back to your room!" Naira said

"Haan haa I am going!" He said and took his belongings and left from there.

"Bhagwaan ji, humesha kuch bhi karke mujhe Naira ke paas hi kyu puhuncha dete ho? Baar baar harr jagah wohi hoti hai!" Kartik said himself as he went towards his room.

"Where were you Kartik?" Karan asked as he entered

"Woh Naira ke room mein...." Kartik spoke but Karan cut him off.

"Tum? Naira ke room mein? Kyu?" He asked widening his eyes.

"Kuch bhi aisa waisa mat sochna Karan! It was just by mistake. Instead of going to 109 I went to 106." Kartik said

"Tum dono ke beech kuch na kuch hote rehta hai na humesha!" Karan said laughing.

"Haan, what to do, we end up crossing each other's paths every now and then." Kartik said
