Chapter 6

-Carter's POV

The week flew by and I didn't leave my house. I was nervous, terrified, my mind had lost all conciseness. Blank; that's it.

I replayed the event that happened in my room over a thousand times. And yet I still don't understand what had happened. What is it a game? This is not a game of 'Sorry' or a round of 'Life'....Or was it?

My Grandmother was out getting me some meds. I've been lying the whole week saying I was sick. But surprisingly got better when school ended today (wink, wink) Thank god for Fridays, and weekends. But to her I'm lucky to be alive.

I sat at the end of my bed, skyping Shay.

"You need to leave your cave." She demanded.

"But...The light...It burns." I joked putting my arms around my face.

"Carter!"

"Okay, okay. How about we go ice skating?"

"Right, so you can fall on your ass?" I scuff, crossing my arms like a child. "Have you talked to Matt? I still can't believe he just kissed you cheek and didn't rape you..." She smiled.

"What? Ummm. No, he's messaged me but,"

"You're playing hard to get?" She winked.

"N-No. I just don't know what to say. Eren gave me advise."

"Eren, she's never had a boyfriend. Let alone a girlfriend."

"Well, she kind of helped. She said to do what my heart said to do, just go with whatever happens. And if I end up with Matty that's what supposed to happen." Shay nods, lifting the corner of her mouth to a smirk.

"My cousin is a wise one."

"I'm a what?" Eren walked in Shays room, with wide eyes.

"Nothing. Change into some warm clothes, were going to the skating ring." Shay told her, she did so and grabbed some clothes and left to change.

"So, I guess were skating?" I asked.

"We'll be there in ten. Be ready!" She ended the video chat and I did as my 'master' said and changed out of my Pj's. I put on a white t-shirt and a dark blue hoodie over it with black jeans. I called my Grandma and told her I was feeling a lot better and was going to hangout with Shay and Eren, without ease she agreed telling my to bundle up.

Ten minutes later, Shay pulled up in her car with Eren. I grabbed my wallet, locked the door and got into the car. Eren was wearing a leather coat with a blue scarf and black jeans. Shay was wearing a Bring me the Horizon t-shirt and blue jeans with a thick black coat.

"Hey sexy." Eren dragged with a wink. I chuckled, winking back. Shay shook her head, starting the car and we headed out. "I asked my uncle to close the Ice Skating Ring down, so we have the the whole day of skating." I forgot. Erens uncle, Jae owns the skating ring. 

"Why don't we just do to the lake and skate?" 

"Because, Carter. If you fall and break through the ice, I am not saving your ass. I will not die when Christmas is just around the corner.... Speaking of Christmas. Don't we have finals next week before vacation?" 

"Oh, yeah. I almost forgot about that... Will you and Matty study together like you always do, Carter?" Shay ask, driving down the icy road. 

I paused. I didn't know what to say. We've been studying for finials together at the end of every term for as long as I can remember. Of course we would just cheat off me anyways, But....What now? I felt weird just thinking about him...His lips....His dark eyes....His....Everything.
