The Capital City

Ibiza part 2

"Hi Mer, how's your holiday so far?", Merida can't seem to get away from this man. "It's been good thanks I was just on my way to find the bathroo-" before Merida could finish Bucky pulled her closer to him humming to myself. "You gotta put sun cream on, you're burning". Bucky runs his finger tips over Merida's chest where the sun had been burning her throughout the day. Gulping down the lump in her throat Merida steps back from Bucky. "I see you're here with what's her name, Olivia is it?" Merida raises an eyebrow at Bucky and he lets out a little chuckle. "Yeah i'm here with Olivia, she always fancied Ibiza as a honeymoon destination...". Merida's eyes widened.

He married her

Feeling her heart slowly sink in her chest Merida gives a polite smile before walking away from Bucky to find the bathrooms. Shortly after finishing in the bathroom Merida makes her way back onto the beach to find the group of her friends lounging in the afternoon sun. Walking past the vip section Merida glances towards Bucky and Olivia who are lay side by side deep in conversation. Bucky catches Merida staring and leans on his arm watching as she makes her way past. Merida sits down on the day bed as the boys make their way into the water leaving Merida and Nat alone.

"Nat, Bucky is here... with his new wife..." Merida announces. Nat chokes on her cocktail and looks at Merida. Merida nods to the loved up couple sitting only a few feet away from them in the vip section. Nat's eyes widen as she realises Bucky's new wife is the woman they seen him with on the news in Paris. "Mer, I'm so sorry. What an asshole." Nat began but was interrupted by Steve coming over. Steve lifted Merida off the day bed, she wrapped her arms and legs around him like before his hands found their way under her butt cheeks keeping her against him. "Wanna go for a swim Mer?" Steve asked getting a nod in response from Merida. Glancing over Bucky was sat up straight staring at the couple as Steve makes his way towards the water holding Merida in his arms. The couple splashes about in the water for about half an hour, Steve never letting go of Merida once. Bucky never took his eyes off the pair and watched as Steve whispers something into Merida's ear and she nods back at him. Steve plants Merida's feet into the water and grabs her hand making his way back to the beach adjusting his shorts as he walks. "Nat, we're gonna head back to the room for a bit" Steve announces with his arm around Merida's waist. Paybacks a bitch Nat thought...

"Don't be too rough with her Steve... we're going out clubbing tonight". Nat responded back to the couple loud enough for Bucky to hear. "Remember to use protection!!". Merida and Steve walk past Bucky giggling at what Nat had said, Merida looked at Bucky who's eyes were green with jealousy as he watched some other guy take Merida up to his room.

A couple of hours later had past and the sun had set for the day, the group of friends made their way to a local night club just a five minute walk from the hotel. Merida wore a baby pink dress with a little strap and sandals, there was no way she was dancing in heels in this heat. Making their way inside Nat ordered tequila shots for the group and before long they were feeling the alcohol in their system from day drinking and not a lot of food being consumed. The girls make their way to the dance floor, dancing together and slut dropping at any giving time. Nat's expression turned serious at what stood behind Merida, it was Bucky.

"Hey Nat, mind if I take Merida for a chat?". Merida turns round seeing Bucky stood in a white T-shirt and shorts. "Na sorry Bucky, she's dancing with me at the moment and won't be available for the rest of the night. I think I seen Olivia over there, maybe you could chat and dance with her." Nat sniggers towards Bucky showing him that she knows exactly who his new wife is. Bucky grabs Merida's wrist and pulls her into him. "Doll, I just want a chat. Give me five minutes" tugging at her arm Merida walks towards the exit with Bucky.

"Buck, whatever you have to say you could have said in front of Nat."

"I miss you." Bucky blurts sending Merida aback a bit.

"Don't start this. You're here with your new wife, who you were I'm assuming engaged to when you slept with me and then took me to Paris!"

Bucky frowns as Merida raises her voice at him.
"And another thing, You never came back. You never bothered with me after we slept together. Oh and you weren't there when I had a miscarriage either!!!
By the way. It was yours."

Bucky stands stunned at what Merida has just told him.

He was going to be a dad

Tears fill Bucky's eye as he pulls Merida who's sobbing into her hands towards him wrapping his arms around her.

"Mer, I'm so sorry. I-I-I never knew that you were... why didn't you tell me?"
Tears streaming down Merida's face she mumbles against Bucky's chest "I seen you on the news with Olivia, I heard your phone calls and she called you every two minutes. Doesn't take a genius to work out what's going on."
Bucky sighs letting a tear fall from his lids. "Mer, if you told me i'd have came straight back, fuck work. I should of been there to take care of the both of you. I'm so sorry you had to go through that alone".
Merida sniffles pushing Bucky away, she missed him. She really did. She never wanted to burden him with the thought of a baby when he has so much work to do. Merida says goodbye to Bucky before heading back inside to find her friends.
