Here With Me

Merida had stirred in her sleep nuzzling into the body keeping her warm. Smiling to herself as she felt fingers stroke through her hair remembering what had happened before she passed out. Opening her eyes and blinking a few times the room was dark with the tv still on Merida lifts her head looking at Bucky who's eyes were fixated on the tv, some sort of investment program that caught his interest. Stroking her hand down Bucky's chest he smiles and looks down at Merida before planting a kiss on her head.

Laying in silence watching the tv the news interrupts the program.

"Breaking News - The United States will go into lockdown in 24 hours due to a rapid spreading Virus known as 'Coronavirus'. Holiday makers will be able to travel home free of charge due to the severity of the situation. The government  has announced social distancing measures, masks will have to be worn inside. It is recommended that if travel and going outdoors isn't essential it should be avoided.".

Sitting up tears in her eyes Merida looks at Bucky and begins to sob. Bucky sits up pulling Merida onto his chest wrapping his arms around her tightly. Merida rests her head on Bucky's shoulders letting the tears run down her face. She didn't want to leave, she had only got here. She was scared for her family.

"Bucky, can you drop me off at the airport please, I need to go home"

"Mer, you don't have to go home if you don't want to. I can take care of you here"

"What about my family, I would have to s-stay in this tiny room and n-not see you. I just got here, I just got you back I don't want you to go, please don't go, p-please d-don't leave me Bucky". Merida began to have a panic attack, Bucky stroked her hair calming her down.

Eventually Merida calmed down, her face was stained with tears. Her phone began to ring but neither her or Bucky made an attempt to reach it.

"Mer". Merida hummed in response

"You know, I have a house here seeing as I live in the city, We can go there. We'll be together, we can get through this. Nobody is going to take me away I promise. I'll buy you anything you need or want".

Nodding at Bucky tears in her eyes Merida agrees to stay in New York with him.

"Let's get cleaned up and out of here" Bucky pecks Merida on the cheek before carrying her limp body into the bathroom, setting her down onto her feet he runs the hot water and put's some bubble bath in the tub. Bucky checks the temperature before adding some cold water and helping Merida step in following behind her he sits at the back of the tub pulling Merida back against his chest.

Sighing at the heat relaxing her bones Merida rests her head against Bucky's chest. "My bones hurt" Merida smiles knotting her fingers into Bucky's.

The couple stepped out the tub getting dried Bucky put's his clothes back on and Merida rakes through her suitcase looking for some comfy clothes that can be thrown on with ease. Bucky makes a call to Jack asking him to get the car ready and that they'd be downstairs in ten minutes. Merida zips her suitcase up throwing on her grey sweats and pulling on her grey and pink Nike trainers Bucky takes the suitcase whilst Merida grabs her bag turning off the tv on the way out.

Standing in the lift Bucky wraps his arm around Merida's waist, Merida leans in kissing Bucky on the cheek. Bucky stands by the entrance of the hotel handing Jack the suitcase whilst Merida checks out. Handing back the key, Merida searches the lobby looking for Bucky, she makes her way towards him and he reaches a hand out which she takes locking their fingers together.

After a twenty minute drive through the city Merida stared out the window taking in the sights. They pull up to a large building, Jack opens the boot of the car getting the luggage out. Bucky climbs out of the car before helping Merida. Making their way up to the penthouse suit which Bucky owned Jack followed behind before wandering off to the bedroom and placing Merida's suitcase on the bed. Jack left the couple to settle in.

Wandering around the penthouse Merida was blown away at the size of the place just for one person. The interior was mainly all white with simple but expensive furniture. Bucky follows Merida who was now stood at the large windows looking out at the sunsetting over the Manhattan skyline. Bucky wraps his arms around Merida letting his hands rest on her tummy with his head on her shoulder.

"Mer...". Merida put's her hands over Bucky's and hums.

"I'm never letting you go. I love you"

"I love you too Bucky."
