Kallean's POV

I sighed before following the so-called guide of our team. I grimaced as I looked around the place. It seems so normal that I don't even think that this is a vampire's lair. It looks the same as the civilization in our world. I almost even jumped out of shock when someone honked his car. I glared at the car that passed by our team. That son of a bitch.

I sighed as I remembered my baby katana. Dad told me not to bring it to my next mission because that would be a hassle. I just rolled my eyes at him because my baby would never be a hassle for me. I wish I have it here so that I can at least give a scratch on that annoying car.

As I was scanning the whole place, I met a pair of curious eyes. I cleared my throat as I remember what my father told me. He said that I should act accordingly to our plans and grimacing like this isn't helping.

I smiled innocently at our vampire guide who has curly hair that looks like a bird's nest. I think it also smells like a bird's poop. I smirked when I saw him look away. I scanned the place again as I disappointed myself for the second time. If this is how the world of vampires looks like, then it's gonna be boring as hell. They aren't even creative enough to design their habitat. How dare they imitate the creativity of our architects and engineers.

The vampire guide stopped in front of a huge building. I glanced at it and furrowed my brows when we stopped in front of a bloodletting center. What the fuck are we doing here. My eyes widened in horror as a thought crossed my mind.

Holy shit, don't tell me they are going to kill us and get all the blood in our bodies?

I heard a sudden burst of laughter from someone. My eyes widened again when I saw our guide creepily laughing like an idiot. I suddenly have the urge to go back and tell dad that vampires are crazy so we don't have to deal with them anymore. They can fuck themselves all they want and we won't care.

"Don't worry, humans. We won't kill you here, you just have to do something before proceeding to the portal." He said after that one horrifying laugh. My eyes squinted. So I was wrong, this is still our world. I heave a sigh of relief.

The guide allowed us to go inside before following us. Is he really an idiot? How are we supposed to know where we are supposed to go when he is on the back? What an ass vamp.

My hair almost stood up when I heard him laugh again. Like a crazy punk this time. What the hell, has he really gone insane? This is ridiculous, he is ridiculous.

"Oh, I am sorry humans, my bad. This way please." I sighed again. Is this what I'm going to encounter in their world? If yes, I'm backing up now. But I already finished step one so I think this won't hurt. I just have to enter their world and I'm good to go. Yep, that would be it.

I removed my problematic expression when the guide turned his head in my direction. I smiled at him, disregarding my negative thoughts about him earlier. He smiled back and stopped in front of a huge door. He knocked before twisting the knob of the door.

I scrunched my nose when we were welcomed by the smell of antiseptic. I saw people laid in a bed with their blood flowing in a straw-looking thing connected to a transparent pouch. I shook my head thinking that we are currently inside a bloodletting center. Stupid.

A group of nurses approached us and guided us towards the empty beds. The nurse that assisted me told me to lay on the bed so I obliged like a puppy. Well, what can I do, I have to stick to the plan. I heave a sigh and fell into sleep.

I woke up when someone tapped me by my shoulders. I opened my eyes only to be welcomed by our crazy guide. He smiled at me when he saw that I immediately woke up. That's the perks of being raised inside of Le Aribea. I have to be cautious all the time because of the threats I have been receiving. Killing a vampire risks my safety so that I have to be alert every single time. It's tiring to live this way but I want to have my revenge. They stole something very precious to me so I must do the same to them. I know it makes me look foolish but I don't care. Being raised in such a hostile and rough environment must have influenced me. I was born and immediately showered by words full of anguish and wrath. I can't blame my father because I saw how miserable he is after my mom left. My dad said that a group of vampires rummaged our home on the same day I was born. They took my mom away and dad was devastated after that happened. Through this mission, I will find out where they took my mom and destroy their world at the same time. That way, I would be able to avenge what they did to my family.
