Julian's POV

No one really knew that to do or say. my Dad was standing there with his arms crossed and a vain sticking out of his forehead, Trevor and Amanda were there too, they were speechless as well.

"Well?" My dad said tapping his foot.

"Well what?"

"Why were you kissing that boy, you faggot! No son of mine is aloud to be gay." His words hit me like a baseball bat.

"It's his choice who he likes!" Dustin snapped.

My dad stepped towards Dustin. I stepped in front of my dad.

"Dad, leave it alone."

"Son move!" He yelled, spit flying out of his mouth. Everyone else left the gym except the people packing up, and they had their headphones blasted.

"No, he's my boyfriend."

He grabbed me by the neck and through me into a pile of chairs.

"When I say move you move!"

Dustin ran at him and tackled him to the floor. I limped over and pulled Dustin off my dad. That didn't workout well because then Trevor tackled dad.

"Can you guys stop?" I asked pulling Trevor off him too.

"Julian you can't date him anymore." My dad ordered standing up.

"Dad, it's not a big deal, it's actually really cute that their dating." Amanda said, sending me a big smile.

He slapped her across the face, hard enough that she fell, slamming into the floor. She cupped her face looking up at him, she started crying and ran out the door towards the field.

"Dad what's wrong with you! You've never been this mean or abusive!" I yelled stepping towards him. He stepped closer. "I will not back down."

"You will stop dating him, NOW!"

"No."

He grabbed me again, this time he threw me into the wall, I hit the floor with a loud THUMP. Everyone gasped. Em and Liz came running up to me. I saw Dustin clenching his fists about to clock my dad in the face.

"Dustin, please don't" I managed to plead, with the pain i'm in.

He nodded and ran to me, he picked me up bridal style and walked me to the stage. He laid me down and rubbed the side of my head.

"Your bleeding."

"It's fine, can you get me a cloth?" I asked, he nodded.

He walked out of the gym to get me a cloth, he looked uneasy leaving me with my dad, but I still have everyone else.

"I'm going to check on Amanda." I said getting up. Em and Liz went to follow me. "Alone." They crossed their arms and walked back.

I walked outside to see Amanda sitting on the field, looking up at the stars. I walked up to her and sat down beside her. The grass felt cold and wet, but the view was amazing. Our school is by the 'Big Forrest,' so they call it. So it goes beautifully with the night sky.

"You ok?" I asked. She looked at me and wiped off her tears.

"Yeah, I just didn't expect.. That.. I knew dad would have a problem, but I didn't know he would take it this far." Her face turned to a frown. "Julian, i'm so sorry. You know he will never accept it right?"

I started tearing, because sadly, she's right. If I want to stay with Dustin, I will lose my father. I guess I need to find out who's more important.
