Chapter 21

Dustin's POV

It hurts so much having Julian mad at me. I need to fix things asap. I walked down the hall in our pack house to someones bedroom.

"I can't hide this anymore, i'm telling Julian about and Em about us."

"You can't do that!" She shrieked.

"I have to, they deserve to know, i'm gonna have them meet us in the forest, you either tell Em or I will tell her."

"Okay.." She replied. "You call Julian and i'll call Em.

Julian's POV

I couldn't stop staring at the blue rose, where the hell did it come from. And that guy who was talking to Dustin yesterday, whatever's going on with Em and Liz. Is everyone keeping secrets from me?

"Boyfriend calling, boyfriend calling." My ringtone for Dustin.

"Hi boo.."

"Babe, i'm gonna tell you everything you want to know. I don't want you mad at me or not trusting me. Meet me in the forest in 20 minutes." Okay now I feel like a dick for being so if ignorant.

"Okay, see you soon baby."

I rushed out of my house and into my car. I blasted the radio and sped to the forest. I don't know why he wants me to meet him there, but whatever. I parked in the parking lot, just outside the forest.

"What are you doing here?" I turned around to see Em.

"Dustin told me to come, he has something to tell me." She gasped.

"I got a call from-" We heard a growl from the forest. "What the heck?" Em said, I just shrugged.

"Okay, let's go find Dustin." We ran down the path leading into the forest.

I text Dustin telling him we're at the patio, it's the only tourist area in the forest. A few minutes later Dustin came, there was a girl beside him. It was dark, but I could tell she had dark hair.

"Hey babe." Dustin gave me a hug and we sat on a bench. Em and the other girl say on the opposite bench.

"So, explain everything to me please." Dustin was sweating, and he looked really worried. "Boo, whatever it is, you can tell me!"

"Well, i'm a w-" We heard a scream followed by a growl. "Stay back!" Dustin yelled, standing in front of me.

"Julian!" I recognize that voice!

I bumped past Dustin and ran towards the scream. Dustin yelled my name but I running. I ran for at least Five minutes until I was deep in the forest.

"What the hell!" I yelled, covering my mouth. There was a large black wolf clawing at something, or someone.

Dustin, Em, and the girl I still don't know finally caught up to me. They all paused once they saw what I saw. Once that wolf-thing, whatever it is saw all of us it ran off.

"What the shit was that?" Em asked, we all shook our heads.

I ran up to the person, I fell to the ground, tears filling my eyes. Dustin and Em walked up, they both gasped when they saw her.

"Amanda, please be okay!" I moved the hair from her eyes.

I was sitting in the hospital waiting room with my dad, Trevor, Em and Dustin. My body still shaking, I can't believe I found my sister almost dead in a forest, not to mention it was an over-sized wolf that did it. The part that creeps me out, is that when the wolf looked at me, it was like it knew me.

"Calm down, she's going to be alright." Dustin said attempting to comfort me.

He wrapped his arm around me, well okay now I feel better. I snuggled closer to his side.

"Ahem." The doctor grunted walking into the lobby. "She has a minor concussion, and lots of cuts, but she will be fine in a few days. The healing will take a while though." We all sighed and walked into her room.

It looked so dull, why are hospitals pure white? She was laying down half awake, i'm guessing they gave her pain killers.

"Haaaaay Juliaaaaaan" Okay, never mind, they definitely gave her Morphine.

"Amanda, I will make them pay for what they did to you!" My dad said, rubbing her forehead.

Everyone had a confused expression on their face, wasn't it a wolf that hurt her?

"Julian, you need to come home with Trevor and I, we have a lot to talk about."

I kissed Dustin, hugged Em then left. God I really hope Amanda's okay. The ride was silent, and a little scary because my dad was speeding. He looked pissed. When we finally got home and sped inside, I follow to the kitchen.

"Julian, you know how I said to never go in the basement? I nodded. "Well, you're aloud to go down there now. It's time you join the family business.". I gave him a confused look. "Just go downstairs and Trevor and I will explain.

I went downstairs and my jaw dropped. The basement was packed with guns, arrows, smoke bombs, everything!

"Uhm Trevor, are you guys terrorists or something?" He laughed.

"No, we're werewolf hunters." I choked.

"Nice try, do I look like an idiot?" I laughed.

"He's not joking." My dad said walking behind me. Look over there, he pointed to a darker section of my basement, half of it was cages and the other half..There was a person hanging on the wall?

My dad ripped the tape off the persons mouth and turned on the light.

"Oh my god!" I ran up to see Caleb handcuffed to the wall. "Dad what the hell are you doing?" I yelled. Sure the guy bullied me, but this is going overboard.

"He's a werewolf Julian. We are werewolf hunters, why do you think I had you take archery classes when you were younger?" I shook my head. There's no way this is all true!

"Julian, watch." He pulled a knife out of his pocket and slashed Caleb's arm.

"Dad!" I yelled, my eyes started filling with tears. My dad is a killer!

"Now do you see?" He pointed to Caleb's arm, which for some reason was healing. "Everything you've heard about werewolves, it's real. For generations our family have been the leaders of an organization that hunts them."

I shook my head. "Well i'm not going to be a part of this, they're just regular people!" I yelled.

He slammed his hand on a table. "They aren't people, they're beasts! That wolf over there is responsible for what happened to your sister! It kidnapped her, and tried to kill her."

I dropped to the floor and closed my eyes. I don't know what happened, but something inside me just snapped. How dare those things hurt my little sister?

"Dad, where's my crossbow?" I asked, he pointed to a wall. I grabbed my crossbow and loaded it with an arrow.

"Julian you can't do this!" Caleb shrieked.

"Caleb, first you tried locking me in a cave, then you attack my sister? You're not a person, you're a beast."

I pointed my bow and shot him in the heart. He coughed for a few seconds until his head dropped down, he died. My dad and Trevor clapped and patted me on the back.

"So does that mean you're joining the family business son?" My dad asked with hope.

"If it means those things can't harm anyone else, consider them dead, each and every single one of them!
