"Are you sure you're going to be okay without me being here?" Dom was about to get on his plane and she was fighting back the urge to cry. She kept telling herself that he would be back but her head was telling her that this would be it.

"Yeah, i'm gonna be okay." She slipped her arms around his waist and hugged him tightly, wanting to burn the feeling of his hugs into her memory. She heard the last call for his flight over the intercom and her heart felt like it had exploded.

"I have to go but i'm going to be back soon. I promise. Text me every day. Call or facetime whenever you want. I will always answer for you." He had her face held between his hands, his eyes locked on her sad baby blues. The more he stared at her, the more he wanted to go back to the car.

"Believe me, I will. I will do it so much that it will probably annoy you." She confessed by accident, his answering laugh healing the ache in her chest momentarily. He pulled her face closer to his and pressed a soft kiss to her lips, letting it linger as long as he could before he had to pull away.

When he let go of her hand and began walking toward security, she finally let the tears fall as she watched someone she loved leave her in the blink of an eye. She never admitted to herself that she loved him until now. She didn't want to allow herself to feel that emotion again but she couldn't stop it this time.

She couldn't let him leave without knowing how she felt. She had to tell him now, she didn't want to tell him through a phone screen or wait for him to come back. It could be too late by then. Anything could happen while you're on different continents.

She bolted down the airport toward where his plane was being boarded, watching as he stepped through the metal detectors with ease. She began running faster, shoving her way through the crowd of people, hoping she could get to him on time.

"Dom!" She shouted, watching him turn around just before he went down the hallway to his plane. He dropped his bag once he saw her jump the barricade and quickly caught her as she jumped into his arms, clinging to him as if her life depended on it.

"I love you." She whispered into his ear, ignoring the protests of the security guard. The only thing that seemed to matter to her at that moment was the boy who had his arms around her. "I had to tell you before you left." She was out of breath from all the running.

Dom felt his heart skip a beat over her confession, his arms wrapping around her small frame tighter. He would carry her words with him in his mind the entire time he was away from her. He loved her as well, there was no denying it. She made him fall in love with her so fast it made him dizzy.

"I love you too." He finally responded before he lifted a hand to wrap his fingers around her padlock necklace, tugging on it until her lips met his once more. He pulled away with a heavy heart and placed her back onto her feet. "I will text you as soon as I can, okay? Send me that song as soon as you record it."

"Rook, I need your help with something major." She told the boy sitting on the couch as soon as she stepped into the house. He picked up the television remote and paused his movie before he turned to face her with a look of confusion.

"What exactly do you need my help with?"

She was so excited she didn't know where to start or how to even word it correctly. "I need your help with my ep. Will you please do some drumming for a song or two for me?" She pleaded, hands folded in a praying gesture. She knew he would say yes, he couldn't say no to her.

"Okay, sure. Do you have any beats in mind or do I need to come up with something?" She stepped over to him and pulled out her song book before she flipped to the right page and handed it over to him.

"I want to do this one. I don't know how to come up with beats. I just know how to write vocals and some guitar notes."

Rook looked the song over, trying to picture whatever vision that she had for this to sound like. He stood up to his feet and gestured for her to follow him. "Come with me." He made his way down the steps that lead to the small studio in the basement before taking a seat behind his drums.

"Step up to the microphone and start singing. I will join in once I come up with something and we will go from there." She did as she was told and took a confident step toward it before beginning to sing the song Dom had wanted her to release.

It was still hard to believe when she witnessed her songs come to life, it was something she never thought would happen. And the fact that her best friend was doing this with her, made it so much more special to her.
