Jeongin's P.O.V
After Jisung Hyung brought the food over, Chan-Ssi's kids dug in, both eating with the utmost manners I had seen kids possess. Their eating habits were the opposite of a certain Hyung, who was stuffing his cheeks with food and asking for the milk to be passed simultaneously. Let me just say it wasn't very pretty.
I had only taken a few bites when my phone rang, the caller ID bringing a smile to my face. My finger moved to swipe the answer icon to the side of the screen. As I brought the phone up to my ear, I heard a somewhat familiar voice, it just sounded more tired than it had previously.
"Hello Mr.Yang," Chan-Ssi said, his voice playful, yet also sounding exhausted. "How are my kiddos?" I put the phone on speaker and then replied.
"Here, why don't you ask them yourself." I said and Yeo-So began to squeal. Bang Chan chuckled at his son and then Eun-Hae spoke up.
"Dada! Miss you!" She said, pouting and using puppy eyes, even though he couldn't see her. I hugged her closer, trying to soothe her.
"I miss you too angel. And how is my little So-So doing?" He asked and Yeo-So bounced up and down in his seat.
"I had so much fun Daddy!" He began and his father inquired further over the phone. "I got to have a sleepover on Jeongin Hyungie's bed and Uncle Jisung made us all pancakes!" Yeo-So said, still bouncing in excitement. His statement seemed to upset Jisung, who was staring with his mouth open.
"Hey!" Jisung spoke, getting everyone's attention. "How come Jeongin gets to be a Hyung, and I get to be an uncle?!" At that statement everyone started laughing, even Eun-Hae, but I don't think she really knew why.
A few more minutes of chatting with his kids, Chan-Ssi asked to talk with just me. I excused myself from the table and walked into the hallway to talk to Chan. "What did you want to talk about?" I questioned once I was sure I was out of ear shot of the others.
"Thank you so much for doing this for me." He said with a sigh, and I smiled at his words. "I don't have much of a support system since my family is mostly in Australia, so thank you for being so selfless." My face turned red at the compliment, as it always did when someone was nice to me.
"Anytime Hyung." I muttered, still shy and he chuckled on the other end of the phone. "In no way am I trying to get rid of your kids, but whe do you think you'll come get then?" I asked and he laughed again.
"Well...I finished the song, but I'm exhausted, so I was hoping to get some sleep before I come get them. Maybe at around 4?" He asked me and I agreed, him sighing and thanking me yet again. We chatted for a little longer and then we ended the call.
When I walked into the other room, I was surprised to find it not ruined. Jisungie Hyung was sat on the floor with Eun-Hae climbing on his head and Yeo-So trying to pry her off. Walking over with a chuckle, I plucked Eun-Hae off of my Hyung, much to her disdain.
She pouted at me, but stopped when I gave her a pointed look. Yeo-So then walked over and plopped himself down by the dollhouse, starting to dress all of them in more "acceptable" outfits. A knock from the door was heard and Jisung stood up saying he would get it. His hurry to the door was uncharacteristic of my semi lazy roommate, but I realized why when he opened the door.
"JiJi oppa!" Min-Jun squealed, launching himself at Jisung's legs and latching his small arms around them. Jisung patted the small toddler's head adoringly and dismissed Minho Hyung's apology.
"Nice to see you Jisung-Nim." Min-Ji said politely, exactly opposite to her smaller sibling. She walked in and then over to play with Yeo-So after giving me an equally formal greeting.
I couldn't help but smile at how adorably mature Min-Ji was. From what I had seen of her, she was extremely responsible and a huge help to her dad after her mom died. Minho Hyung seemed like he could use all the help he could get with a crazy kid like Min-Jun running around.
Turning my attention back to the interaction happening in the doorway, I was shocked, and simultaneously happy at the sight. Jisung wasn't doing any of his usual "hard-to-get" tactics, but he was definitely still flirting. Seeing my older roommate so sweet and serious about someone was definitely something new to me.
