The pulsing is the first thing Giorno is aware of. He can feel his heart in his chest, it's uncomfortable, to say the least. Giorno's mind is fuzzy he can't remember the last thing that happened to him. He begins to wonder if he's even awake. Giorno rolls his eyes under their lids, they feel like they're in thick jello. As his lids flutter open he winces in pain, it's bright; blinding almost. Giorno's whole body twitches as attempts to regain control over it.
He glances around only able to move his eyes. He can't tell where exactly he is, there's rubble beside him, a car in shambles, and, oh. His mother's corpse, it's mangled beyond belief. Giorno is surprised he can even recognize it, most of her torso is gone so is her lower jaw. He feels bile rise his throat, Giorno manages to roll his head to the side just in time for the putrid fluid to pour from his mouth. His body is aching, every muscle is pulsing and throbbing. Giorno groans as he lifts his arm to wipe his mouth; he coughs, his throat burns. He rolls over as carefully as possible, avoiding putting too much strain on his body. Giorno looks around a bit more; it seems he and his mother crashed off the side of a highway, there are several other cars near them, and almost all of them are totaled.
Giorno shifts to sit on his ankles; glancing at his mother's corpse once more he can't help but wonder if someone had messed with her; there was no way in hell that the car could've done what it did to her with at least mangling him as well. Giorno sighs he feels like he might collapse at the slightest breeze. Rising to his feet, he stumbles around. It's hot, almost scorching; Giorno catches a glimpse of himself in the car's side-view mirror. Christ, he looks awful; his hair is ragged and tangled with blood, dirt is caked on his face and neck. There are bags under his eyes, it reminds him of the way he looked before his mother left his step-father.
He sighs once more, rubbing his hands on his pant legs he checks the car door. Lucky for him it's unlocked; he wrenches open the door groaning at the hot air that pours out. Giorno reaches into the back seat grabbing his backpack, even though its barely got stuff in it, the stuff that's in it is important. He glances around the car once more eyes catching on a full bottle of water. As he grabs it he hears the ground shift behind him. Giorno spins around only to see his mother's corpse twitching. Her fingers twitching, his stomach dropped; his mother was still alive? Giorno stumbles over to her, he stares at the gaping hole in her torso. He can see her muscles twitching, soon enough her eyes flutter open, her pupils are milky and her gaze lays on nothing in particular.
¨Mom?¨ Giorno's voice is horse and harsh against the silence of the streets
She groans as her body twitches; her legs are broken but she still manages to get up onto her elbows. Giorno's head feels funny like his whole world is spinning. He doesn't know how to feel, there his mother is mangled almost beyond recognition, her eyes staring into his; Giorno doesn't even recognize them, they're not the eyes that would hold so much contempt for him. She gurgles and reaches a pale hand towards him. Giorno doesn't believe this is real, it cant be! He stumbles away almost tripping several times in the process. As he makes his way back onto the highway he glances back at his mother. She's still squirming, still reaching. Giorno turns away hugging himself as he trembles.thank u for reading <3
