Chapter Thirty-Six

Chapter 36

Riley's POV: 

We waited for Louis and Harry in the main room of the house. I was so proud of Louis, that's not an easy thing to do. I looked over at Liam who sat in the corner of the couch, he seemed quiet since he heard about Louis and I not actually dating. I hope he and I can work us out. I so badly want to figure this all out with him. 

Louis and Harry came down the stairs hand and hand, I smiled seeing the sight. They looked so happy to be able to do that in front of everyone and not just Shann or me.

"Alright, so what's the plan?" Zayn asked as Louis and Harry sat on the couch. 

"Simon said Lou and I have to make it publicly known we are dating, that Louis will announce it in the interview today when they ask. Tomorrow we have to go on a pap walk and at some point kiss. That's all he said. The rest is up to us to figure out." I explained biting my lip watching Liam's every move. 

We ran ideas around until we came up with a believable story, making sure everyone was on the same page as Shannon did some last-minute changes to the boys' outfits and hair. She had just put the last hair in place on Zayn's head when the doorbell rang. 

Taking a deep breath I looked at everyone. "Ready?" I asked looking at each of the boys. "Remember you don't know anything except Louis and I are dating." I reminded them. They all exchanged looks and nodded. I walked over to the door and turned the knob.

Simon and the interview crew walked in. The last was Paul as he shut the door watching everyone's move. 

"Hi, I'm Kathleen Summer's with rising star magazine." The interviewer smiled at the boys walking over to them and shaking their hands. I walked to Shannon and took a seat next to her on the floor. 

"You alright?" She whispered watching the interviews explain what was going to happen as the camera crew set up. I chuckled at her question, "Truthfully? I could be better. I mean yeah I'm alright in that I want to help the boys out but also no because how does this work for Liam and me?" I asked looking at her. 

She looked back at me and smiled, "It will all work out Ri. Don't worry." Shannon patted my back.

"How do you know?" I wanted so badly for all the answers. 

"I don't, but knowing you, you'll find a way. I mean, it's you and Liam for crying out loud." She joked, making me smile.

I sat with Shannon and watched the boys' answer question after question, goofing off and being themselves but I held my breath when the next question came up. 

"Who is Liley? I have seen that name and heard it a lot lately." Shannon reached over and grabbed my hand giving it a little squeeze. The thing was, I wasn't worried about the world knowing I was 'dating' Louis Tomlinson. I was worried about what everyone back home would think. My friends, mum, dad, and worst of all Josh. This was it, no going back after this. 

I heard all the boys let out a chuckle and look at Louis who smiled. "The fans call me and Niall's sister Liley. It's our ship name, you could call it." Louis spoke. Here we go.

"Sorry, I'm a little out of the loop. Ship name?" Kathleen questioned Louis to go on. 

"A ship is like when you think two people would look good together or you want them to date," Louis explained looking at the rest of the lads. 

The interviewer nodded, "Oh, I see. So then I have to ask, is it just a 'ship' the fans have made up, or is it something else?" 

Louis looked at the lads than at me as I bit my nails on my free hand squeezing Shannon's hand to death with my other. I saw Simon out of the corner of my eye get tens as Louis paused.
