Chapter 43
I woke the next morning on the couch alone and Shannon in the chair. Confused I looked around but saw no sign of the boys anywhere, I didn't even hear Louis. Sitting up and rubbing my eyes I shuffled to the kitchen for some coffee. As it brewed I found a note next to a box of donuts from the boys.
Went to an interview, be back later. We had Paul go out and get you some breakfast. Tell Shannon not to panic and Lou said it was alright. See you soon! - The Boys
I smiled and grabbed a donut walking back into the main room to wake Shannon. "Oi Shann, wake up!" I said with a mouth full as I lightly tapped her.
Shannon blinked open her eyes before looking around confused at the emptiness of the house. "They went to an interview and will be back later. Lou said not to panic that she has everything under control." I told her what the note said answering her confused face.
Shannon nodded with a yawn standing up to stretch.
"Coffee?" I asked heeded back to the kitchen.
We sat down and drank our cups in silence as I scrolled through Twitter. My notification bin was full of birthday wishes from friends, family, and fans. Pictures from the party had been posted all over my feed. I showed Shannon a few as we made fun of the way the boys' faces looked in them.
"That's a new necklace." Shannon noticed after a while, "It's cute. Where did you get it?" She studied it some more. Smiling I reached for it and moved it through my fingers.
"Liam got it for me. He told me it's not just to match the arrows on his arm but also the arrow that struck him in the heart from the moment he first saw me." Shannon cooed at the story giving me 'a that's so cute' puppy face. Chuckling, I continued, "We said I love you to each other last night."
Shannon let out a squeal jumping out of her seat. "No, you didn't!" She exclaimed. I nodded my head making her jump for joy earning a few 'omgs' as she basically fangirled in the kitchen.
"Riley this is huge! Tell me everything!" She sat back down and placed her hands on her chin. We sat and chatted for a while answering her questions on how it happened and if I was nervous.
When I came down from showering the boys had come back from the interview, running around like the crazy lunatics they are.
"Alright boy's come on I haven't all day! To the van, let's move!" Paul yelled before turning on his heel and walking to the van parked in the drive.
We rode to the stadium, the boys hyped up on energy drinks they had been given during the interview. Who's idea was that?
Barley putting the van in park, the boys quickly climbed out, Louis bringing the football out from the bus to kick around. I guess it's good they get some of the energy out now before we are put back on the bus tonight. I thought to myself walking with Shannon over to watch the clumsy game unfold.
Today was pretty laid back compared to yesterday. Our families all stopped at the stadium for lunch hanging around backstage for the show later tonight. We would all get to see the concert from the front row.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't super excited to see the show from the fans side of things, it had been so long.
As the sun started to dip in the sky we were all escorted out to where we would be sitting. I stood next to Shannon as a few girls already in their seats gasped and screamed seeing us.
"Well, aren't you popular?" Mum smiled at me as I waved to the girls.
"Mum, they are screaming for all of us, not just me." I tried to be humble. I didn't like taking all the attention when I was around others who were just as important as me.
