*Takes place during dinner when they brought John back with the pearl by accident*

The Winchesters were all sitting and talking after dinner was finished. They had eaten till they were full and were reminiscing about their childhoods and what had happened since Mary and John had died. They were all laughing at a rather amusing story from Sam's elementary years when the bunker door creaked open. They all looked up ready to fight whatever monster or demon came through the doors. Sam and Dean had both pulled their guns while John had pulled out the Colt and mary grabbed a knife from her boot.

When they saw it was Cas, Mary, Dean, and Sam all put down their weapons and smiled. John however did not.

"Dean!" Cas spoke, seeing his boyfriend for the first time in weeks. "I thought you were dead thank god!" He ran and hugged him tightly. Dean hugged back burying his face in Cas' overcoat. They pulled away and kissed quickly smiling at each other lovingly. Mary and Sam knew about them. John didn't obviously and frankly, Dean couldn't care less about filling his father in at the moment because his angel was here in his arms.  They pulled apart and Dean wrapped an arm around Cas' waist.

"Hello Mary, Sam," he nodded to the two who waved back smiling at the two. "And..." Castiel now turned to John and tilted his head in confusion. Dean now had a small blush on his face as he watched Cas look at him with those eyes that said I'm not sure what's going on. Dean turned to Cas putting a hand on his cheek.

"Cas, that's my... dad," Cas' eyes went slightly wide and he starts moving away from Dean but gets pulled back. The whole time Dean doesn't take his eyes off Cas. Their eyes meet and they seem to have a silent conversation and Cas visibly relaxes. Dean turns to John and starts to explain.

"So dad this is Cas," He glances down at the angel who has a small blush on his cheek. "He's an angel of the Lord and my boyfriend," He gives one of his signature grins and looks at John.

"Hello," Cas says looking at John. Mary and Sam are standing silently waiting to see what's gonna happen.

"Boyfriend?" John asks very seriously, ignoring Cas' greeting and instead focusing a glare at Dean. "You mean to tell me you're gay, boy?" His temper was seemingly rising. He started moving across the room shoving Mary out of the way. "So that camp I sent you did nothing to your messed up head? Well, that's just great! I'll do it myself," He was in front of Dean and had a hand raised. Sam tried to protest but he shot him a look that shut him up. John swung his hand downwards to hit Dean but was intercepted by Cas who had jumped in front of Dean.  He grabbed John's wrist with his eyes now glowing blue and his wings being visible. He threw John across the room hitting a bookshelf and knocking its contents to the ground. John was starting to get up when Sam grabbed a hammer and smashed the pearl sending him back home.

"That's enough of that," Sam said as John was vanishing still slightly bleeding. Cas now turned to Dean who was still flinching and crying with his eyes clenched closed. Cas hugged him and starting whispering in his ear to calm him down. Sam started cleaning up the bookshelf where John had landed. Once he had finished he turned back to see Cas holding Dean and kissing his head while shushing him and Mary sitting in a chair staring at nothing.

They had all calmed down but no one spoke. They sat at the table, Dean in Cas' lap and Mary and Sam in the other seats. It was quiet for a while until Mary broke the silence speaking for the first time in a while.

"When I get to Hell I'm gonna beat the shit out of him," She said quietly while looking at her son. She smiled slightly when Dean started laughing. Soon they were all laughing and talking about what John deserved when Mary saw him next. Almost an hour passed when Dean had almost fallen asleep on Cas.

"Let's get you to bed, love," Cas whispered picking Dean up bridle style.

(Mary did in fact beat the shit out of him.)
