"Your dad was an amazing person....."
"It's okay."
"Everything will be fine."
He felt someone grab his arm, pulling him away forcefully...
"Let go of me!"
"It's okay....Everything will be fine."
"I won't allow you to go anywhere...."
"Stay with me!"
"Don't....go....."
"Trust no one."
Water- Blood- What was that-
Tears?
"Trust....no one."
His eyes were wide, staring at the figure in front of him who held his shoulders tight.
"Don't.....end up like this again."
He felt something flicker behind him.
"There is only one person you can trust."
"No.......even if he betrays your trust...."
A figure held his hand tight from behind.
"Protect him."
"Don't ever let go again."
"You are you. You are no one else."
"We are you."
"You."
"You."
"You."
"You."
"My dad...."
Yasuhiro looked away from the skies, eyes set on Shinji. "Oh, good morning, Shinji."
"My dad......"
"Your....dad...?"
"Do you love me....like my dad?" Shinji asked.
Yasuhiro's eyes softened. "Of course, Shinji."
"My dad is a terrible person."
Yasuhiro's eyes widened.
"Hero or whatever....if you're such a hero.....why would you leave your own children behind? You care for them? Don't joke with me," Shinji muttered.
"You saw how Naruto was treated.....if he cared for Naruto so much....he should've stayed for him," Shinji looked up, eyes glowing red. "He was just a coward."
"Shinji!" Yasuhiro yelled. "I don't know how you though of this, but...your dad...." Yasuhiro sighed.
"And you too.....why didn't you take Naruto with you?" Shinji asked.
"Did you understand what was happening, Shinji?" Yasuhito frowned. "They needed him. That village your father was protecting needed Naruto. And as the Kyuubi's claws pierced through them.....I could see how much your father loved that village and his son."
"Loved his son?" Shinji scoffed. "The fox is a curse, not a blessing. My brother suffered because of my father's stupid 'protect the village' shit. If it were me....."
Shinji clenched his fists.
"I could.....wipe a whole village out solely for him."
Yasuhiro's eyes widened.
"You could. You didn't."
As those words left his lips, Shinji turned around and walked away, leaving Yasuhiro staring at him.
"An eye for an eye."
"I strongly believe in that."
"We are brothers, tied together by fate."
"If I cannot feel how you suffered, I shall save you from that suffering."
Those were the words that Shinji spoke as his cold gaze was set on the shop owner's corpse.
"And....a tooth for a tooth."
"This world should be fair and square."
"Shinji."
"Huh? What is it, old man?" Shinji asked as he turned to Yasuhiro from the ceiling he was staring at.
"A man died in an alleyway today," Yasuhiro said. "And it was the very same shop owner that you kicked in the head a few days ago."
"Yeah, and?"
"Was it.....you?"
Yasuhiro's eyes stared into Shinji's bored ones.
"Yeah. It was me. Why?"
Yasuhiro's eyes widened. "What do you mean why? You killed. A man."
"A sinful man," Shinji scoffed. "He harmed my brother, and that is the price he shall pay."
"Even so, you should not-"
"An eye for an eye," Shinji smiled. "Do you disagree?"
"I strongly disagree with you killing, Shinji!" Yasuhiro yelled. "I do not know how to deal with this right now!"
"Then don't."
Yasuhiro's eyes widened.
"If you pity the man so much...."
A crazed grin crawled onto Shinji's face as he appeared in front of Yasuhiro in a blur, a kunai at the old man's neck.
"Why don't you go see him as well?"
Blood splattered onto the walls.
"I am here protecting my brother," Shinji whispered as he straightened his body. "If you're going to get in my way, that's the price you shall pay."
"We are brothers, tied together by fate."
(I hope this doesn't look too terrible)
