"This is home," He muttered, lips leaving trails of kisses across your skin, muttering more to reassure himself than you, "This is our home." He placed a kiss at the tip of your fingertips, looking you so caringly you felt as though he truly understood the weight of his words.

"Eren?" Your voice came out hushed despite the two of you being alone in the room.

"Yeah?" His eyes feel on your face, your eyebrows, your nose, the shade of your irises, he committed them all to memory.

"How about we leave this place?" Your hand closed in on his, fingers curling as his movements stopped against your cheek, fingertips so warm and comforting they felt like the only comfort you knew left.

"And go where?" His hands resumed their movements, going behind your neck to gently bring your closer to him so that your foreheads and noses almost bumped one another.

"We can build a small cabin in the woods. Big enough for the two of us. A small home," You offered, tilting your head to the side, looking at him as the burn of tears stung your eyes, "Just for us." You whispered out, voice cracking as he brought you closer to his body, caging you in his arms.

"We could do that," he said, nodding, thumb rubbing up and down your back. "We could have a big bedroom because you know how much room you take on the bed," You chuckled through your sobs at that and he smiled that he made you laugh a little, " And a really nice kitchen so that we can make all the food we want," He looked ahead at the clock in front of him, the little hand and big one almost meeting striking midnight.

"And a library for when Armin comes over," His words caught in the back of his throat, "A nice archery ring in the backyard for Sasha, some horses for Jean." You laughed again, but this time it hurt with the cries you let it. It was a mess of snot and tears and pain as you clutched at the fabric of his shirt just as did with you, not seeming to want each other to go even though you were the closest you could be.

"Yeah, we can build a home, Y/n. We can build a palace if you want, why stop there?" He kissed your hair, his chapped lips settling down there.

"Small homes just give me a better sense of solace." You murmured against his chest.

"Then a cabin it is," He promised, hugging you tighter.

"Eren?" You asked, this time your voice no quieter than the wisps of winds that lifted the grass.

"Yes?"

"Don't leave just yet, I'm not done loving you." You told him, lifting your head so that your foreheads were gingerly placed on each other, "I don't think I'll ever be done loving you."

"I'll be right here, Y/n. For as long as you need me, I'll be right here."

You nodded, knowing that no matter how much he promised, or how much he swore, his words, at the end of the day, were pitiful lies.

"And we'll build a home?"

"We'll build a home." He repeated your words.

"Promise?" Your eyes looked into his, searching for any sense of fabrication of what he wanted to say, but all they held was love.

"I promise."
