His Engagement

"Talashi lo iski!" He said, still not making eye contact.
He knew what he was doing is wrong but he still wanted to do it.

She is Ishqi, she is not gonna tolerate such humiliation, she will surely stand up for herself.
He knew Ishqi is not one of those people who give up without fighting.

But Ishqi, she just nodded, just like that.
He hates me, he is trying to insult me but....but if I leave this job then....no Ishqi! You have to take care of your Maasi too! And you will do anything for that! Anything! Even if it's getting humiliated in front of hundreds of people.
Her eyes were becoming moist but she couldn't cry, her soul was burning but she couldn't shout!

"What?"
"Aap...aap talashi le lijiye..." She tried her best to not let her voice break, to not sound broken, because she knew will do nothing but just please these people....

Ahaan didn't knew how to react, to get shocked or disappointed?
How can someone change so much in 6 months? She is not the Ishqi I know...she is not the Ishqi who broke her marriage because of her feelings.

"You killed that Ishqi" Kartik whispered in his ear. He somehow always read Ahaan's mind, even though he always carries a blank face.

That line actually scared Ahaan. While doing all this, he never thought that he is actually destroying her confidence, he was blinded by his stupid revenge.

He felt guilty, he was mad at himself but...but can he change anything now?

Kartik knew he was being rude and harsh but simple ways don't work with Ahaan, do they?

As the warden took a step forward, Ahaan mindlessly shouted at her.

"No! Don't you dare!"

But Ishqi was not thankful.

Why does he do this everytime? When I try to accept the fact that he doesn't care about me, he always, ALWAYS does something that makes me weak! Is...is this a new way of torturing me?

"Ae tu kya keh raha hai Ahaan? Talashi nhi degi to chori kaise pakdi jayegi?" Sarla Aunty didn't wanted to miss such a good chance to do tamasha, after all, half of her work was done.

"Talashi nhi hogi! Ring uske paas nhi hogi, yhi kahi dekhiye, ring mil jayegi to sagai aaj ho jayegi ya fir nhi hogi!" He said, he knew how people were going judge him for this statement but he doesn't care, he has already broke her a lot times, he can't do it again or he will break himself too.

"Aap talashi le skte hai, mujhe koi problem nhi hai!" She said, she didn't wanted to take any favours, especially when she knew it will cost her a lot someday.

"Maine keh diya na, bas keh diya!" He was actually irritated now, she is being too bechari now! Why is she doing all this!?

"Ring mil gyi Bhai! Jameen pe padi hui thi!" Kartik handed it to Rhea.
"Dekh liya Sarla Aunty, Ishqi chori nhi kar skti!" He couldn't stop himself from saying that.

"Ring mil gyi, ab tum jao!" Mr. Mehta asked her to leave and she obeyed him.

She can't be there

After all, it's his engagement....
