Another Chance||Three Shot (Part Three)

"Arre ye Bhai aaj aa payenge ya fir mai sab ko bol du, ek hfte baad aiyega!?" Kartik's annoyance was getting out of control, it's been 2 hours and he still isn't here!! How long can anyone wait?

"Sabar rakh khote! Koi kaam me phas gaya hoga!" Dadi was desperate too, she couldn't wait to hear that there was nothing between Ahaan and that girl.

"Bhai aa gye!" Sonu said as she saw Ahaan entering the room.
Everyone got up but Ahaan was not the only one entering the room.....Ishqi was with him...they were holding hands!

Everyone was shook, why the hell are they holding hands? Is Mayank stating the truth?

Even in this serious situation, Kartik couldn't suppress his smile.

I always knew.....

"Kya baat karni thi tujhe Ahaan? Ayr yeh ladki tere saath kya kar rahi hai!?" Dadi asked.

"Mai sab btata hu Dadi, par usse pehle iss Mayank ne apko jo kuch bhi btaya hoga, sab jhuth hai! Isse ghatiya insaan maine aaj tak nhi dekha!"

"Hua kya hai Bhai?" Kartik asked, sensing the tension.

"Isne ek ladki ko molest krne ki koshish ki! Aur phir usse blackmail kar raha tha! Isliye Ishqi ne apni shaadi tod di!"

Everyone was shocked, Mayank was like their own kid, they couldn't even think that he could do something like this!

"Tujhe ye sab kisne btaya? Iss ldki ne? Arre ye jhuth bol rhi hogi! Tujhe phasane k liye!" Dadi accused Ishqi, while she just rolled her eyes, she always knew they would react this way only.

"Agar apko meri baat pe bharosa nhi toh Sonu se puch lijiye" She looked at Sonu with hope but she had a horrified expression.

"Voh ladki Sonu ki hi dost thi!" Ishqi lied, she couldn't let the truth come out like this.
Sonu sighed in relief, now that her name was not involved, she can finally help Ishqi.

"Ishqi sahi keh rahi hai Dadi! Meri dost k saath iss Mayank ne zabardasti krne ki koshish ki thi, vo toh accha hua ki vo bach gyi vrna...." Tears rolled down her eyes as she thought of what could have been possible if Mayank was successful.
Everyone held a horrified expression, now that Sonu confirmed it, they can't deny.

"Yeh sab tune tab kyu nhi btaya jab yeh Ishqi shaadi tod ke gayi thi?" Sarla asked.

"Kaise btati Aunty? Aap hi ne to kaha tha ki agar usne mera saath diya toh aap ye shaadi tod dengi. Aur hum dono uss ladki ka naam leke usse badnaam nhi krna chahte!" Ishqi answered for her, she knows how to handle duch people.

Everyone just stood their without a word.
Ahaan was disappointed by his sister, if she always knew that Ishqi wasn't wrong then why didn't she tell him? And who was that girl?

Ishqi just thought that how these aunties humiliated her and bombarded her with questions when she broke her marriage and now when they know what Mayank did, they have nothing to say, is this what they call Sanskar?

"Tum dono ne yeh accha nhi kiya! Ab mai sbko btata hu ki voh ladki kon thi!" Mayank could not except such defeat.

But before he could say anything, Ishqi slapped him hard.

"Jyada hoshiyari krne ki koi jarurat nhi hai! Neeche police intezaar kar rhi hai, Kartik, le jaa isse!"

Kartik handed him over to the police, everyone was safe now.

"Voh jis ladki ki baat jar raha tha, voh mai hi Raj!" Sonu cried, she finally mustered the courage to tell Raj about it.
She just sobbed, without looking at him. She just waited for him to say something, to question her, to judge her, to be furious at her and to accuse her but he did nothing.
