One week.

One whole week had passed after Zayn's death and yet she could feel her stomach hurl, her throat tighten, her eyes burn, her lips dry at the mention of his name.

He died of an overdose.

A deliberate overdose.

A suicide.

She could sometimes feel her bones strain under the the weight of the lives she was not living.

She took a deep breath, the smoke coming out of the cigarette swirling around. She could feel the fumes travel through her mouth to her wind pipe to her lungs.

The fire escape of her apartment gave her a clear cut view of the chaotic road beneath her. She sighed and laid her head against the brown rusted railing.

Harry's disorganised footsteps were heard in the corner. He had spilt his tea all over him, now he was looking for a shirt hidden somewhere in Eliana's closet. She had plenty of his shirts but she kept them stored away.

Because they were hers to feel, hers to wear and he was hers to love.

"Okay, so I couldn't find a shirt so I decided to wear one of yours." Harry said sitting.

Eliana's eyes grew wide at his words. She whipped her head in his direction and saw him wearing one of her large shirts that looked like a loose crop top on him.

She giggled and kissed his cheek.

"You look really good." She said teasing him. Harry rolled his eyes with a smile on his face, flipping his hair.

"I know." He said.

Cream pokes her large nose out of the window, sniffling. Harry smiled and opened the door, patting down for her to sit next to him. She instead climbed onto his lap, and placed her head on Eliana's thigh.

"I swear to God this dog has no sense of personal space." She said chuckling.

Harry looked at her, as if she was not a star in a wide and vast universe. He looked at her as if she the whole universe. He looked at her like flowers looked at the sun. He looked at her like an astronomer looked at the night sky.

He thought, that when she died, all things soft and beautiful and delicate would be buried with her. For her beauty is terror and he quivered in front of it.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked him. He blinked hard.

Tell her. Tell her. Tell her.

"Nothing." He said.

Coward.

Eliana hummed. She fiddled with the hem of the shirt he wore. He smiled shyly at her. Eliana leaned in, capturing his lips in hers, falling deeper into him.
