She was there some days, she was lost some days

She was there some days, she was lost some days. There were days when Harry used to think about the moment she lost herself in this superficial abyss. He was concerned about her, but she was far too deep in the water.

He thought her to be someone who was as strong as a rock, he trusted her not to let the crashing sea weather her down. But she was only human, she became someone he couldn't recognise only in a matter of months.

She's still there.

He thought to himself while watching Clarion scroll through her phone. Her ring clad thumb moving up and down the glossy screen rapidly. She sighed while texting someone, her eyebrows scrunched in distress.

"Have you ordered your food?" He asked her, reaching out for the manilla menu in front of him.

"No. My dress got lost. I told Jessica to store it somewhere safe." She sighed slamming her phone against the table. She rubbed her temples rapidly with her hands.

The stress of hosting multiple fund raisers for the more privileged section of society proved nothing but problematic for the young girl. She was expected to carry on the passed tradition which she hated dearly.

"But you aren't organising any event," he said factually, twirling the crystal glass around his hand.

"But Christopher Hay is. Your parents are also going to be there, so should you." She said, grabbing the menu and reading it carefully.

"I'm just focusing on classes right now, besides I never really liked going to such things. I need to clean my apartment as well." He said sighing.

It was true. Harry never liked attending such events because he felt out of place. He knew that he wasn't built for such things. He had a sense of driving passion for things and people that weren't fabricated or superficial. He for once wanted to see how it felt to be real.

"Please Harry." She tried persuading him. Harry sighed and obliged to her request, knowing better than to let her down.

"We could go together, it's tomorrow evening." She said and Harry's eyes grew wide.

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" He groaned, throwing his head back at such an angel that the glaring sun above him hit his face, lighting up his eyes.

"Stop being such a baby about it. It's our community, about time you accept it." She mumbled the last part. Harry heard what she said, causing a frown to appear on his face.

Moments like these; moments of Clarion's clueless judgment of Harry's character made him contemplate whether this relationship was worth all their words. Louis's question had been eating him alive. He couldn't help but wonder a different circumstance - a circumstance in which he wasn't bound to Clara.

"I still don't get why you wouldn't want to stay with your parents? You're living in the same city as them." She said. Harry felt his frustration grow larger. He harshly swallowed down and looked at her with a hard glare that she didn't meet.
