Madeleine is selling some books and drawings that she has collected. She has books in many languages, and people are very interested in buying them.
I do not have anything to sell, and I have no skills that can be used for profit. My mother gave me some money the other day so that I could buy a new hat from a woman who spends her time sewing, but I kept the money instead. This might be the only way for me to get money, by collecting it when it is given to me.
Madeleine said that once my parents buy me things for my wedding, I can secretly sell the items. This is a great idea. My parents will want to spend lots of money on my dress, so just that alone should cover the cost of travel.
I am so excited. I have not been this happy in months, diary, and I expect that I will never be sad again if I always have Madeleine.
