Sophie's POV

I can't even believe what just happened in there. It doesn't seem real. It feels like I imagined it. But I didn't. I kissed Keefe. I kissed Keefe Sencen. And it was amazing. He tastes sweet and soft, like whipped cream. I wish I could go back to that moment and stay there forever.

But, I can't. And right now, I'm sprawled out on my bed smiling a mile wide. Probably another 10 minutes of swooning went by, and I tried to collect myself and go downstairs. I finally made it into the kitchen, and Edaline had already prepared all of the ingredients to make Indigoobers.

"Well, you look happy. I take it that means things went well with Keefe?" she asked.

"Oh yeah. I kissed him." I said, with the huge grin still plastered to my face.

"YOU WHAT?!?" I heard Grady screaming from the other room.

"Grady! I thought we talked about the 'no eavesdropping' rule!" Edaline yelled.

"I AM ALLOWED TO EAVESDROP IF IT HAS TO DO WITH THAT BOY! You may continue."

"It's fine. He'll have to know eventually." I said.

"No, he knows when I tell him to. GRADY YOU STOP LISTENING OR SHE GETS TO SPEND THE NIGHT WHEN SHE SEES KEEFE LATER!" he was silent.

"I guess I'll have to stop listening now. I AM WALKING AWAY! I DEFINITELY WON'T BE ABLE TO HEAR YOU FROM THIS ROOM!"

"Okay, you can continue. Details," she says.

I told her about how he manifested, and how I got him to close his eyes so I could kiss him, and how I told him I love him.

"YOU TOLD HIM WHAT?!?"

"GRADY! Because you were listening, Sophie now has the option of staying the night. With our permission." Edaline said. Grady glared at her. "Don't look at me like that! You made it possible."

They continued to bicker, and my face was probably as red as a cherry, so I finished the indigoobers and went upstairs to my closet to find a shirt to wear. I would prefer a small shirt because anything else would be too hot for today. I found one that I liked, so I put it on and then found a pair of black leggings to wear as well.

It was about sunset, so I decided to wait a while longer. Before I left the Healing Center I had told Keefe that we could meet up later for a little chat-and-snack, as he had called it. While I was waiting I called Keefe on my imparter.

"Hey, Foster! Miss me already?" He smirked.

I rolled my eyes but smiled. "Actually, yes. I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss all day. Also, it's a long story, but Edaline said I could spend the night if I wanted to." I had a goofy grin plastered on my face, and it got even goofier when he said,

"Do you think you'll stay? We don't have a guest room but you could stay in my room."

"That sounds great. See you in a little bit."

"All right! I can't wait to have a slumber party with my girlfriend!" He winked and clicked off the screen.

The fact that I was staying at Keefe's house in Keefe's room wasn't the reason I had an astonished look on my face. (Okay, it was a little) The reason I was so shocked was that he had just called me his girlfriend. And I liked it.

I was getting excited. It was close to the time that I told him I would be there so I gathered the indigoobers into a small box and found my way to the leapmaster. I leaped to the Shores of Solace and found my way in.

I took off my shoes when I saw Keefe in the kitchen. He was back in his batman t-shirt, I noticed. I snuck up behind him and wrapped my arms around his broad shoulders. I spun him around and kissed his nose.

He looked a bit surprised since we haven't done anything like this together before. He also looked adorable.

I hope this works out because I love being with him like this.

Keefe's POV

Sophie looked like her usual amazingly gorgeous self and I felt so lucky to have been good-looking enough for her to fall in love with me. She looks like she was just doing yoga in that outfit, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. I really like it.

"Why did you kiss my nose?" I ask with a confused smile on my face.

"Because I wanted to," then she got on her tiptoes again and kissed my lips. It was a slow and sweet kiss, but it was much better than our first kiss.

I picked her up bridal style as I carried her to my room and dropped her down on the bed, which caused her to make an adorable squeak. I was about to ask where the indigoobers she packed me were because I was starving when she shoved one in my mouth.

"How did you know I wanted one?" I said as I had a mouthful of the blue cake.

"Maybe I know you really well," she said with a smirk.

"Or you used telepathy."

She looked mildly annoyed but entertained by my comment as I sat on the bed next to her. I laid back on the bed and spread out my arms. I almost don't mind that it's humid because Sophie takes that as a cue to come and snuggle down on my chest.

I lean down and kiss the top of her head, needing to make sure this isn't a dream. It's going really fast.

She brushes her hand up and down my tanned arms, and I'm suddenly very grateful for the warm weather. Her hands are like a cool, soothing breeze.

"Hey, Sophie?" I ask quietly.

"Yeah?"

"Can I kiss you again?" She looks up and smiles at me. Then she sits up and motions for me to do the same. We're both sitting on our knees, our faces very close.

I can feel her breath on my cheek as she says "You don't have to ask,"

With that, she grabs my face in between her hands and kisses me. I kiss her back, not even hesitating when she places my hands around her waist and I pull her close.

She loses her balance, and I take that as an opportunity. She falls forwards onto me, and I realize I put her in a pretty amorous position so I ask, "Is this too much?"

She responds by pulling me back into another kiss, this one a bit slower. I have to keep reminding myself, don't get carried away.

Don't get carried away.

It's definitely difficult.

I pause for a minute to breathe and say, "Okay, do you think we should sleep? I mean, this is great, but you should attempt to sleep for once." The real reason was so that I couldn't get too lost in all the physical attention. She hesitates but then nods.

I start to sit up, but she pushes me back down and says, "Wait. One more."

That "one more" ended up turning into 17 more.

Then we're back to our first position, with Sophie snuggled up close and me mindlessly playing with her hair. I love the feeling of her hands slowly moving up and down on my arms. I smiled to myself and snuggled down even closer. Her eyes were barely even open, and I took an opportunity to give her one last kiss. She smiled, and we fell asleep in each other's arms.
