"Rose!" I hear my mother call from the kitchen.

I stand up from my desk, I see a pair of shining gold eyes in the mirror, her silver hair flowing naturally down her back.

I see my reflection and it's a sharp contrast, my eyes are dull and sad, my silver hair doesn't reflect the light. There are dark rings under my eyes. But the biggest difference between me and my younger sister is that she has beautiful blush pink angel wings sprouting from her back.

Unconsciously I reach behind me and feel the stubs that once were my wings, tears fill my eyes but I quickly blink them away as I turn to face my sister.

"Hey Violet, do you know what mom wants?" I ask crossing the room towards her and wrapping my arm around her shoulder.

"She wants us to be in the hall today, to see how Heaven is run," Violet tells me as we start heading up the stairs.

"Oh, alright," I sigh, rubbing my eyes.

"More nightmares?" Violet asks.

I nod, hiding a yawn behind my hands.

"You really should tell mom about them," Violet tells me for the seventieth time this week.

"I don't want to worry her,"

Our conversation stops as we reach the kitchen, my mother is standing in the kitchen in her lavender gown, her beautiful grey wings folded against her back, the ends of the wings drag on the floor as she walks around the kitchen, it looks like she is dancing.

"Hello mother," I say.

She turns her light brown hair swishing as she turns. The crown is carefully nestled in the curls.

"Hello my dears," She smiles at us. "Ready to join me at the court? She asks.

"Yes we are," Violet answers, seeing as I was to busy hiding another yawn.

"Then let's head out, lots of souls to see and not nearly enough time in the day," She says, reaching up and straightening her crown.

It's a dainty silver thing that resembles vines twisting around three peaks, the middle one being taller than the other two.

We head out and make our way to the center of Heaven to a simple brick building. We walk in, I follow my mother through the maze of lefts and rights, stairs, and elevators until we get to a throne room, two guards are standing by the door and bow as we enter the room. I am still not accustomed to that but my mother has been Queen of Heaven for a few decades now so she is used to it.

"Good morning your highness," One of the guards that I recognize as Richmond says.

"Good morning Richmond, would you mind unlocking the cabinet so my daughters can get their tiaras?" My mother asks as she floats towards her throne.

"Of course Queen Rosemary," Richmond says. He has the same graceful stride as the rest of the angels in Heaven. He unlocks the cabinet and brings us two tiaras on a red silk pillow.

Violet grabs her, it's silver with amethyst gems embedded into it, mine is the same but with rubies instead of amethyst.

I put it on the weight feeling foregin on my head, I turn towards my mother so she can make changes. She fidgets with my hair until she deems me perfect, she in turn does the same with Vi.

"Let the first one in," My mother says, turning to face the guards. They pull open the wooden doors and the first sould walks in, however unlike previous times I have come with my mother I recognize this one.
