Trapped

Chapter 2

3rd P.O.V
It didn't take long for the group to reach their destination it only took about 2 days for them to reach the maze. Even though they had a very important reason to return back to where it all started it was still hard for them to walk through the door. Once they did it was as if nothing changed there was still shattered glass on the tiled floor, most of the computers were still running, and a lot of the blood stained still remained. It was as if the place remained untouched.
"Even though it's been over a year I still can't get over the fear of this place" Frypan said as him and his friends walked through the untouched lab.
"I know.... it's almost as if we just went back in time..." Muttered Thomas.
"So... is there anything specific that we're looking for?" Asked Brenda as she cautiously walked through the room with Jorge.
"Any clues that can lead us to Emilie" Newt quickly answered as he looked around and spotted the cameras.
"Brenda, Jorge is there any chance you can hack into the surveillance cameras?" Brenda and Jorge looked at Newt a bit confused.
"Yeah, probably..." Brenda answered still a bit confused but none the less walked up to a computer and started typing away. It took some time but eventually they were able to hack into it.
"Okay we're in. But are you sure you want to go through all of this-"
"Hey guys you better check this out!" Called out Gally from another room. Everyone followed the sound of Gallys voice and found him in a room.
"I couldn't remember much from when I was in here but I was at least able to find my way back here" Gally started to explain.
"This was the room Emilie was in before I grabbed her. I remember she was on the floor crying and then I saw this..." Gally shifted his body that was blocking a screen and there was Emilie.
       Though it wasn't from her time in the maze. She was clean with her hair and makeup done with a very beautiful dress on sitting in a chair. She looked like she was being interviewed and was smiling but you could tell through her eyes that her smile wasn't genuine. Newt quickly rushes towards the screen and is almost overwhelmed with emotions by just looking at her for the first time after it being almost over a year.
"It's a video..."
       Thomas whispered as he's looking at the controls. With one simple press of a button they were able to unlock a glimpse into Emilies life before the maze. The group had no idea what exactly the hunger games were, but judging by Emilies reaction on the tape they knew it wasn't good.
"What the bloody hell is going on love?" Newt whispered with fear and worry. If only they knew just how bad of a situation they were getting into.
