chapter 5

❝what am I?❞

y/n was shocked by the sudden question, but nevertheless, she was able to answer his question “i’m a human sir...”

“what about your parents?” the cold leader once again asked “Jeno!! Stop asking those questions, you don’t even know her fully.” The guy beside Jeno told him

“but Mark hyung- fine” jeno said in defeat, seeing the oldest looking serious.

“it’s fine.... Both of my parents are not human, my mom’s a skin-walker and my dad’s a were-jaguar” y/n said in a low tone... Expecting negative responses from the leaders

“but you’re a human? How could that be possible?” Chenle asked “it’s normal, having two sets of different DNA that’s not human? It could result to a normal human being, it’s too much DNA for one to handle, especially if their parents are two different species” Jaemin responded to chenle’s question, everyone’s months except for Jaemin’s and Y/n’s formed an 'O' after that.

“ahm... May I know why you guys called me here?” y/n finally asked, she was beyond confused, why would the leaders of Nurial ask for a new comer?

“because we need to prove your existence.” Jeno said,
“what do you mean by that?” she questioned

“basically we need to see you physically and we need to know some information about you, as there’s nothing online that could prove you exist.” Renjun explained

“what about my socials? Wouldn’t that be an evidence of my existence online?” y/n asked

“we meant it in a government manner, you’re not on the list of the government’s citizen list” Haechan responded

“but how?- almost anyone in school before would always-” y/n was explaining herself till someone cut her off

“then why don’t you have a South Korean Identity card?” that made y/n freeze to her spot... Thinking about the government makes her feel disgusted, her mood changed immediately.

“they would only delete my request. The only thing they allowed me is to have a driver's license.” y/n said it in an undescribable manner which made every leader confused, why would the government do that? But once again, the government is shitty, but still doesn’t explain everything yet.

“i guess it’s a good thing....” Mark spoke “if they don’t know that y/n existed, it would be safer for her.” he continued.

“why? Is it going to be bad if they find out I exist?” y/n asked Mark, “well... There are people with the surname of Yoo who are vigilantes here, do you perhaps know someone named Yoo Yesun?” Mark asked y/n

“no... The only Yoo’s I know are my parents and my cousins... My father’s name isn’t Yesun.”

“Good, we recently just found out that the government are tracking down people with the surname of Yoo because of him” Mark sternly said.

“what is Mark hyung talking about?”
“idiot! He’s talking about Yoo Yesun, the guy thats literally in a freezer deep in our city....” ChenJi whispered to eachother, it was a very low whisper that no one should have heard them

“freezer? What do you mean about that?” the girl asked both of them, making ChenJi freeze

“We... we said it too low that non of you should be able to hear us .... Not even Renjun hyung and Jaemin hyung who are beside us should be able to hear us.....” Jisung said in surprise

“in fact, you’re too far from us for you to able to hear us whispering...?” chenle spoke while checking how far they both are from the girl, it’s a pretty far distance for one to hear a normal whisper too

“w-what? It can’t be...” y/n said with wide eyes

“are you really sure that you’re human?” Haechan cynically asked her

“yes! When I was 5, my parents and I went to beacon hills to meet doctor Deaton just to check if I have any DNA of a supernatural, it came out negative, Deaton even said it’s permanent!” she protested

“it was the only time I get to go somewhere out of Seoul and Korea ..” y/n added.

“go home. But go back here tomorrow 2pm, we have a LOT to discuss.” Jeno callously said, y/n just nodded and bid her goodbyes.

“this is more serious than we all anticipated.” Jaemin suddenly spoke, it was already 10 minutes since y/n has left their house, only silenced could be heard after she left.

What Jaemin said brought his friends to confusion...

“why? Do you know something?” Renjun asked Jaemin,
“yes but i’m not entirely sure yet...” Jaemin responded, in a vacillating way

Surely Jaemin knows something, but he doesn’t have any evidence yet. But what is he thinking?

sheesh this was such a chapter, the next chapter will probably just short, mainly focused on the dreamies figuring out shits 👌👌
